i remember the 1st time i saw this movie years ago with my mom. we thought the whole movie was pretty depressing and slow, and then we make it to this scene ... we were seriously crying with laughter for DAYS. after making it to the end & seeing that scene, i love and appreciate the entire movie now.

I love the irony of this: All these women dress up their little girls like strippers or whores and when Olive, who is a pretty normal little girl, actually starts acting like one, they take the moral highround. Kind of sad, but funny.
