  • Thank so much for this video, I didn't realize how expensive bias tape was till the other day when I didn't have enough to go around the quilt. I would much rather make my own just as long as I measured right.

  • @pumpkinseed45 Heck ya! Save money where you can! Then you can buy more fabric!! LOL have a great weekend!

  • Finally a continous binding video I could follow, the second step of pinning to sew is so important.

  • WOW that is very impressive. I am new to quilt making and as yet, having only made quilts with straight lines, i haven't made bias binding.. but now i have seen this demo i wont be worried about making it, without having to sew lots of seperate pieces together.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

MSQC you rock!! Everything i have learned about quilt making has come from you!!

  • I've been making continuous binding using the method from Lap Quilting since the 80s. Love that I don't have to make a square first. Thank you for making this video.

  • THANK YOU so much for this fantastic tutorial! I just made my first continuous bias strip to use on the bottom of my dress via my coverhem machine by starting, pausing and restarting your video. I am very grateful for this tutorial - and the little duck quack at the beginning!

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial! I typically only do apparel and costume sewing and this method is so much better when making binding tape with satins than other methods i've used in the past. THANKS!

  • I recieved my first order safe and sound, thank you ;)

  • Oh! Sorry! I did not think of that haha! Thank you .Jenny

  • Do we make the lines on the right or wrong side of the fabric?

  • @anniethekiwi It doesn't matter. You cut on the lines so they aren't going to show.

  • I am with pkrishma who said, BRILLIANT! Wow, I can't wait to try this. I am currently making my first quilt and your tutorials are inspiring and amazing. With your help, I do believe my quilt will come out wonderfully! Thanks again!

  • Apologize..?? Oh Please..do not! This was a brilliant ..brilliant...brilliant tutorial!! For a beginning quilter...you taught me an advance tutorial so I can make my own bias with a fabric of my choice, save money on buying store bought bias, make hundreds of inches of bias quick and easy! Thank you...Ms Jenny. I must admit .... that I have watched almost all of your tutorials.....and very soon I will be a happy quilter making good quilts...and will have you to thank for.

  • We apologize that the charcoal lines on the fabric didn't show up better. We may try and release an updated video in the future with a lighter fabric. Hopefully, despite the invisible lines, this tutorial is still helpful. Happy Quilting!
