I saw Traffic in I think 1971 in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. What a wonderful evening that was...The band was radiating pure energy and warmth. Unforgettable. Great to watch this after so many years...
This is one of my favorite cuts from the album in question. I don't have to tell you what I was experiencing while listening to this. But that was early 1969 and who gives a shit? Oh dear! Oh dear! I'm late! Goodbye.
I'm 57 and after all these seasons and lovers and jobs and countries and presidents and all their wars... how can we explain it? I was 16 and lost my hearing and blew the speakers playing this kind of music, my son 14 and his friends, in junior high school call us hippies, can't understand anything we say-- All they do is Call of Duty and Halo games.
mason seemed to be especially inspired while in Traffic. his 1st solo album had some great tunes that maybe he was saving for himself or that steve didn't want on traffic albums, i don't know. after that first solo album, mason's career is spotty, at best.
I'm sure Bach could string it I think this is Dave Mason singing is it not? October 3rd 2003 at Chicago's House of Blues after a break Steve retook the stage. When the din was down I screamed "Thank you, Steve!" at the top of my considerable lungs on behalf of all tasteful Americans. I was thrilled when Sir Winwood acknowledged me with a smirk and a wave. How about Mic Jagger being Knighted and Stevie not so honored. The Queen must be tone deaf.
madshadows eh? interesting. sounds like dave had someone singing harmony with a voice from another universe. great album. most of traffic's best songs on utube seem to be cut off just when the jam gets interesting. that's too bad because they're too good. it may be just the tears of someone that you never heard. colorful music

Traffic will always be important, along with Cream and Blind Faith. These guys, especially Winwood and Clapton, changed Rock forever. Thank you all.

Not sure if its comparable who could take more acid, Steve hands down.
who influenced music more, J.S. Bach.

I am really fond of this LP sound. It's the crackling sounds of a warm fire at the hearth.
