@kbizze2fresh baahaha lets see you take that a5 out on the field with markers like this one. a5's constantly have excess gunk left inside the internals(paint, rough metal) you're entire cyclone feed would need to be upgraded to perform at a top level like a bob long, the a5 cant make 10 pods of paint let alone 14-17, and you'd have to buy a new board for it in order to participate in tournaments, plus you'd have to buy a techt blade trigger so you could walk it. you'd be better off buying a mini

The Mini is probably the best gun you can get in the $300 range. I said probably because the G3 is right there too. The only people that hate on Mini's are the people with $700+ guns that believe performance should ALWAYS come at a high price. This is the reason so many people hated on Ions. Cheap guns that do just about everything an expensive gun can do, save for a few features. I understand the hate, but play with a Mini afew weekends and dont try to compare it to a Luxe-you will be pleased

@doomie77 Agreed, I can't find a reason to replace my mini other than its flaccid trigger, and even that can be corrected with a $30 upgrade. My mini is mostly stock (except for the barrel) and shoots consistently and accurately with no chops and VERY few breaks even above 20 bps. It's reliable and damn easy to maintain. Combine the performance and reliability with the extremely low price and it's hard not to appreciate this gun. If there was ever a perfect all-around gun, it's the Mini.

@zkobosko Only issue I have w/the Mini is no on/off ASA. Not a big deal since I'm not a 90 lb weakling that can't unscrew my tank. With my LP tank it comes off pretty easy

Have a look at the MacDev clone before you consider one of these. In the end it will probably just come down to what feels more comfortable.

Why a Clone dude? A Clone is a spoolie and these are closed bolt stack tube poppets, to be honest I'd shoot my Marq 7 over a Clone, and with the Victory that I shoot now theres no competition, but I like poppets, they perform almost the same, although the Victories are more consistent and they have better efficiency they perform about the same, other than packaging you get more of what you pay for with a Victory in gun performance, with Bob Long you get gun performance equal to the whole price.

Basically what I'm saying is with Bob Long you get $1175 gun performance as opposed to $1000 gun performance and a really nice box and manual, almost no difference but your paying the same and getting a little better on field performance out of the Victory, but if you can't stand poppets then definately go with the Clone, I prefer a poppet over a spoolie any day but hey thats me, theres been very few spool valve markers that I've ever really wanted very bad.

Aside from air efficiency and being a little heavier, spools have a little less kick and tend to be a little more consistent. Personal preference really, I'd run a spool over poppet.

The DM9 has a smoother shot, the victory has better efficiency. The DM requires more maintenance, and the victory doesn't. The DM is a bit heavier and the victory is lighter. The victory will have a better trigger for semi and the DM trigger is better for PSP and ramping. Hope that helps, check out TechPB for mroe info or help!

Like it really doesn't matter. If its a good design then other companies should use it, it helps the sport grow. That's why Tom Kaye didn't patent HPA, he knew it would only hurt the sport.

uh no the victory has a different type of tooless bolt removal it doesnt have magnetics eyes that you can loose it has the 4c eye system its auto cocker threaded so it has more barrels smaller reg better board and gets wayy more shots off

I do like the fact that Bob Long took the idea from Smartparts's LUXE for the tooless backout bolt and no macroline but also added more too the design. So in other words it is a suped up Luxe that a inline poppet. =]
