  • Just the amp man.

  • Is this the 65 reissue? Where you using any effects (obviously reverb) or was that the amp itself?

  • Brilliant chops bro : -)

  • I tried almost every Fender reissue lately and only the Twin Reverb sounded like it should, varm and clear with a great 'soft' and 3D quality to the sound. All the others (Bassman, Super Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, Custom Vibrolux) have a hard edged and slightly metallic treble to them that I can't live with. I'm getting a Twin Reverb!!

  • Is this amp Solid state?

  • so what any cheap guitars will sound good anyway

  • twins kick some ass bro

  • When I was buying my second guitar I played regular american strats, deluxe, john mayer strat, mim, all that, and I liked the classic vibe 60's squire strat better than all of them. for $370 it was such a steal.

  • man, that squire actually sounds great! i dont really like strat-type guitars, there too bright for my taste, and i like the low end of hollowbodies, but this sounds incredible!

  • James Burton it reminds me of with the twang of his telecaster.

  • Nice "twanglin" ....very cool!

  • dude , those pull off , legato type licks u do are really cool , how do you do that ?? explanation ?, thanks !

  • what a marvelous sound i love it:D

  • Amazing sound, if didn't know that's squier guitar, I thought that original Stratocaster made in USA. Ampliefier is very qool. And remember people-Squiers are ok, they are real fender guitar not a copy-just cheaper version of fender instruments

  • It's maybe "just" a squier but it sounds well !

  • hehe nice man, that twin is sick...had a coworker who was like sixty somthin; had TWO twins man and lived in a broom closet....always used ta joke wit em "Share tha love man, gimme one of your twins...your gonna kick it soon anyways" hed tell me ta fuck off, hed sooner take em to his grave than give em to a slacker...gotta love the old coot, he swore by those amps

sorry fer ramblin just brought back memories..gotta get me a twin man

  • What were you playing?

  • oh my gosh. i loove these midtones! this amp has such a rustic sound to it...

    its incredible

  • Great Sound and great playing!Respect!

  • lovely sound and nice playing

  • nice Twin and nice Squier!

  • great tone for a squier! that amp must kick some major ass.

  • I thinka you suck the cock.. :D ha!

  • I was fortunate enough to pick up a 40th anniversary twin reverb w/the cream colour vinyl cloth. One of a 100. Saw it brand new for somethin like $1600, it sat in the store for a year till someone who worked there bought it, played it once then put it in the corner. Then he apparently got divorced and needed money and I bought it for $1000, barely touched. It's mint, my 3rd ever owned and I'll never sell it like the others. Always keep your twin, you will kick yourself if you get rid of it!

  • Amen!

  • @diamondbackseye I have the same anniversary Twin Reverb amp. Ah, yes, the cream colour is beautiful and, for me, it was love at first sight. Admittedly, I love Fender amps. But the Twin Reverb is so beautiful in every way. I couldn't afford it, so, I traded a 1970 Gibson 335 for it, I wanted it so bad. I've never regretted the trade. Gibsons of the '70's, though still putting out a lovely tone, feel cheap. Not like guitars made today. I'll never part with the amp.

  • @Teachering Well now that we know we both own one, we should search for the owners of the other 98...lol...form a club!

  • @Teachering Well now that we know we both own one, we should search for the owners of the other 98...lol...form a club!

  • @Thmscr but the tone from between the neck and middle is so uniquely slinky blues stratocaster its not even funny

  • @Thmscr you are right. . .

  • damn you're fast :D

  • anyone has got the twin-amp (100 watt switchable to 25 watt)?

  • Hmmm not the best idea, I know "the twin" has a switchable output but to me it doesnt serve a good point, tube amps sound great when the speakers distorting and the output section is working hard, each to their own though.

  • That's all I needed to know, I've heard on 25watt it doesn't sound that sparkle they used to sound too. Now a very annoying question: IS the Twin-Reverb (85w) suitable for Home-use? (My neighbours already heard the loudness of my Leslie 860)

  • No way in hell is a Twin Reverb suitable for home use, its a clean machine and is built for headroom but at low columes it doesnt "breathe" well, like most Blackface amps, Id possibly look into a Super Reverb? still loud but still a big amp with big tone too. Id suggest a blues or pro JNR but theyre "small" sounding amps and dont do great clean.

  • Well the main thing is: I will use it for (fender)rhodes so i'm searching for a clean amp with 12" speakers, because the lows are better then. And the Super Reverb is 4x10. How about a Roland JC-120 some say it sounds clinical and filters the musicality out...

  • Well personally, I dont think the JC-120 is anything special, its a good SS amp but it wont give you true tube tone if thats what your after,

Just remember that a 10" speaker is just as capable of producing as much bass as a 12" spkr, its how theyre voiced that counts, 10's have a faster response than 15's so most players like to go inbetween and use 12" spkrs

open vs closed back cabs make a huge difference in bass response, just a thought.

  • I'm after a warm clean (which won't break-up) amp which is suitable for home-use and beach-gigs (yes beach-gigs :))

  • check out some vids of Vintage Fender Twin Reverb amps. They are sick.

Might not be the warm amp you are lookin' for, but it is insanely beautiful clean and all.

  • why wouldn't you recommend the hot rod deluxe or deville 4x10 in this case? Those amps sound awesome at moderate volume (if that's what you're looking for)

  • nice man

  • No distortion is right. This is how a real player sounds clean with no bullshit to cover up the slop.Very nice playing!!!!

  • does this have a distortion channel? how many watts does this amp have? thanks.

  • Ha ha, ahhh no.. it doesnt have a distortion channel, its a REAL amp ;]

    its 80 watts.

  • Nice playing bra. But come on, you cant disown overdrive like that. It's what rock and (later) blues icons made their living on.

  • 85 watts.

  • If I could put these blues in a needle, I'd be mainlining them for days.

  • goood

  • gotta love the blues!!!!

  • u realy "rox", love the sound and the guitarist, SRV'll proud of u

  • You ROCK dude!!!!

  • anyone knows how a bass would sound played through this amp?!

  • Bass guitars should genarraly be played on bass amps. I don't think a bass would sound good on this amp.

  • It would damage the speakers to play bass through this amp.

  • I sometimes play the bass on it, and it sounds nice!

  • it would destroy the guitar's speaker cone. Trust me i did it to my amp.

  • excellent my friend !!!

  • jsut goes to prove how little the equiptment actually matters in the hands of a skilled musician

  • Daaaanggg. Nice playing, nice tone.

  • It really sounds like that I have one :) that is, if you know how to make it sound like that.

  • wow. that was really good. rock on man.

  • HELL YEA !!!!

  • All finger picking ?

  • Hi there, there was a little fingerpicking, I use a pick but use my fingers a little to execute faster licks that may be more difficult to pick.

  • re-issue and cheap fender = great sound becuase of the player...man! you are GOODDDDDDDDDD!

  • Mehh, that ws okaaaay... :)

Jk, that was one of the best things I've evr heard

  • Hey thanx for the compliment man ;]

  • thats a squier?!? that neck pup sounds sweet through that amp

  • SRV anyone?

  • who cares, its an amp demo

  • Where'd you learn to play like that? Dang man you deserve every pedal in the world for that solo!

  • This is blues man!!

  • holy shit man that sounds great i want one now

  • nice picking , nice tone

  • why the hell do u have a squier? u deserve a custom shop fender

  • ha ha, thanx man ;]

Its just a shitty guitar lying round, It sounded better than the custom through this amp.

  • i agree, but this dosent even sound bad

  • nice sounds- crisp and clear. nice playing

  • This video shold be named: Fender Blues Amp, Solo!

  • dou you use 10's strings on a rosewood fretboards?thank you for your music!

  • i love your playing!

  • that was sick dude. i have a '72 twin reverb and a 1962 fender bassman.theyre sick. my main axe is a 1984 japanese strat with a wierd locking trem. thing. and i have no clue why im posting this, lol.

  • nice tone!

  • i love your vibrato!

  • Wow. Unbelievable clean tone.

  • this is proof that a good amp can make any guitar sounds good

  • has to do with the playing too ;)

  • 1st of all, your playing is AMAZING! You got the dam tone!! 2nd, Is this a new Twin or Old?

  • i agree;)

  • cool,

  • if you want an amp like that with a similar tone with leo fenders brand on it,try a music man 212 rd 130.made by leo,and very collectible at half the price.

  • nice warm sound:)

  • WOAH very Nice Man! godamn what id do for an Amp like that.

  • yeah garys got it goin for sure, have you heard his cover of red house from the fender 50th aniversary strat concert?

  • i hear some country in your phrasing where did you pick up some of those licks?

  • Picked em up from a few different players over the years, Its just mainly bluesy stuff with some odd notes thrown in to try and keep away from being predictable,

Ive been listening to Gary Moore lately and think Ive been subliminally picking up some of that type of stuff.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • GREAT playing!! THANKS!

  • hey man thats nice sound

    I liked it ;)

  • Ahh, theres a man who knows what he likes.

and for good reason, its a classic amp.

    Thanx man.
