@csmcmillion WTHell? Boston gave you enough in the fact that I could get to third base while enjoying the music in the background. Life was so uncomplicated.
What a cool tune. And richu52, you make a good point. Why the hell aren't these guys in the rock and roll hall of fame? They're a heck of a lot better than some of the other no talent ass clowns they let in.
Happy too say as a young person in 1976 i seen Boston live at the Philadelphia Spectrum ..it TOO this DAY IS A VERY...VERY BIG DEAL too of witnes'ed this ..AWSOME CONCERT....WE WERE ..72,000...strong..Will..NEVER FORGET THIER POWER..Probably at least 200..years ..ahead of the spiritual curve...got ..that...:)))
Truely one of the greatest sounds one can hear in this lifetime. The soaring harmonies and lyrical nature of their music has never been matched, even to this day.
Today's artists, please! They are not worthy to sit at the feet of the genius that was Boston. Legends they remain always!
complete with droning bass sounds, candles, fires and walking around in black robes with silver platters filled with goat's head.blah....I walked out too....they were made irrelevant that night...inspired countless wanna be's to be.thanks for that, no matter what anyones says...friggin awsome!
Well the lights go down and the it began.the most wonderous undescribably sound, some form of never heard before guitars...for like 3 minutes in the dark..and then.BAM.holy shit, these dudes made history that night in nowhere's lincoln nebraska...people went absolutely wild, and you could see it in the bandmembers eyes...they played for about 35 minutes, and then were called back twice for oncores.....foghat and boc couldnt compete, and after sabbaths 10 minute ling intro
True story.. when I was in highschool, playin in my first "bands" I was all about the sabbath sound and the never ending leads of BOC, finally they all came to town. sabbath, boc and foghat, plus thin lizzy. When the concert finally started, running right up to the stage after the doors opened, a dude comews out and says thin lizzy wont be performing tonight, but we got this new band from Boston, see if ya like them. Back then one could actually sit on the edge of the stage, as we always did.
This 148 seconds of audio here has always been one of my most favorite Boston productions. It invokes a deep feeling of loss and emptiness. The guitars sound as if they are weeping. Perhaps we could gain some empathy for what Brad Delp must have been feeling at the time of his suicide when we listen to this. The sadness I feel is almost too intense.
I'm 50 and been singing and playing guitar and keyboards since age 5.I cant even come close to brad's voice. His voice was once in a millenium. His death shows that not fame or fortune can bring true lasting happiness.Boston will always be my favorite band.
cscmole, Yes there will never be any band even close to these guys! BOSTON seems to be so different from any rock it just kick ass in its own kick ass way!!! BOSTON forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes . and I new Brandon Martin . Worked with him on couple movie projects years ago . He is one of the best FX artist in the world and probably the top design engineer in the industry . He and Tom Scholz are the two brightest minds to ever enter songwriting . And they are both engineers and inventors plus Brandon has works of art in museums all over the world .He is incredibly well trained in several fields of art and engineering .
This is a warm emotional video .. good work .And by the way...Brandon Martin is the engineer turned songwriter from California that shocked the underground music world with his first three songs .
Brandon Martin is the modern day creative super wonder of songwriting . He's the son of an atomic scientist who was a design engineer and world class super effects expert trained in multiple fields of art and an inventor since age nineteen . If you look on his hugely popular myspace it says Brandon martin feels the best songwriters of all time are " Tom Scholz " and " Paul Mcartney " .
TOTALLY AWSOME no matter how much i watch it it really gets to me. There will never, and i mean NEVER be another band like Boston. Tom scholz went from practicing in a basement to becoming one of the best rock and roll gutarists of all time.
Tom Scholz is my #1 influence ever! Atleast some people believe in his talent, I can't find very many Tom Scholz fans here, thank you for making this video.
this sounds REALLY good for being a demo.
