  • It shows what You miss in the Midwest! There is about one train every 45 min's it grate!

  • Hi I realy like to know how you add and render this video in hd.. if I do all the things in sony vegas like you do in your tutorial then I only can see the movies in HQ instead of HD..

    Can you help me out?

  • This video was actually done using the HD settings, not the ones that are in my tutorial video. I will get a new one up with the new settings eventually.

  • Nice video. This is what at the time was Train #185, which has since been annulled due to the economy.

  • Nice! It was a sucky week for trains because of the flooding and I didn't get to see much. Here I was telling my friend who was tagging along with me of all the traffic I remembered on this line on the drive out and we get there and a guy at the Tomah depot tells us that its been very light because of the flooding!

  • I know EXACTLY where you were for this video! ...about 1/2 a mile west of "the hole" as they call it. This is almost right in my back yard!

What a great place to take train videos and stills!

  • Rick,

It was a pretty good place. Unfortunately due to the floods there was light traffic while I was staying in Tomah with family. I hope to come back out again soon as it had been almost 12 years since I had been out there. I can remember railfanning the CP shops in down town and was sad to find them now gone.

  • Ahh, so you know the place well then! I like the east end too. I have some pretty good stills from that area and some day I will get round to putting a slideshow up using some of them.

Yes, shame to see the shops all gone. I used to walk by them as a child imagine working there...never happened though. Most of the tracks are now gone as well.

Thanks for the reply! Maybe we'll see each other out at the tunnel one day!

  • By the way, I actually sat in that little clearing one day years ago and started writing a song while waiting for a train. Pretty neat to see it on You Tube now!

  • Yes I do know it well. I used to spend the summers at my grandparents in Tomah until I was about 15. I hadn't been there in 12 years until this summer. It was good to be back.

  • Awesome video 5*****
