  • @rickvr11 this isent fucken call of duty you fagot ass loser do realize how hard it is to land on a moving ship with the types of winds are out at sea u ignorant fuck!

  • @rickvr11 I'm telling your mom!

  • hahahhahhahahahahahha

  • Like the others have said, this is NOT A CHINOOK! It's a CH-46 Sea Knight!

  • Thats A Sea Knight not a Chinook.

  • in bf vietnam, the chinook litalry floats on the water!

  • yeah, in real life, shithooks float for 20-30min when bottom side is down.

  • @stopYOURdumshyt yea. imagine a boat copter. an amphibios chopper!

  • Not a Chinook, its a Sea Knight

  • Which year of this Chinook Crash !?

  • Sea Knight...

  • it crashed because the weel got cought on the deck

  • im american and all but this is kinda funny hahaha as long as nobody died

  • @goldenkro Thats why Americans are stupid and fat.

  • @goldenkro 7 men died i think :(

  • did any one die

  • yes yes yes

  • Its called ground effect. Once the rotors are over the deck of the ship, if they are less than 1.5 x the diameter of the rotor from the deck, they actually produce more lift than the rotors not over the deck. So what you see is the front receive extra lift, the pilot not compensate causing him to turn. Once the axis of the aircraft is half over the deck, half off, the right side of the aircraft has more lift causing him to simply roll over and flip into the sea.

  • @bgatesdie you are correct about the ground effect. When my father was on ship he witnessed a ch-46 crash on takeoff from ground effect however, ground effect is not what caused this frog to crash, the pilot came in just a little bit low causing one of the tires to get caught on the outside edge of the deck.

  • @xBourneKiLLAx Yeah he came in too low and got caught halfway on the ship. But it was the ground effect that caused him to crash rather than recovering and coming back for another landing.

Goddamnit though. 7 people died in this crash, though 11 were able to escape.

  • 32 dead

  • It's not a chinook.

  • The crew chief that was trying to jump out the window survived, and he's a helo dunker instructor at Camp Pendleton now

  • sea knight

  • damn marine pilot is in trouble.

  • @Penguin3366. he got caught in wires, he wouldn't have been able to see them or do anything whilst he was caught in them. You wouldn't to the same, you would shit yourself and crash into the ship, killing dozens. So how about showing this guy some respect as he probobly lost his job, his reputation and possibly his life.

  • @mr9396 He's dead. As well as most of the same people that were on board the chinook.

  • Did you notice the guy trying to climb out the window as it crashes ?

  • This was not a Chinook it was a CH46 Phrog

  • thats how they wash there helicopters

  • not a ch-47 Chinook, it is a ch-46 Sea Knight...but tragic just the same

  • @PapaBare100 I read that the Sea Knight is a smaller version of the Chinook.

  • @TheFlarbar yes to some extent it is. Both made by Boeing, but different air frames = different helicoptes. notice the fuel tanks that run along the sides of the CH-47. This allows the CH-47 to land in water, open the ramp....then guys like me used to drive right in with the zodiak for quick extraction

  • @PapaBare100 what was you BUD/s class number?

  • 'Safetybars - more kills then Afganistan'

  • Why don't they just stop the ship?

  • ja what should he do the ship was swimming away :D

  • ch-46

  • EPIC FAIL...PUT HIM BACK AT A DESK JOB!

  • and THAT is why you don't jerk the stick away from the aircraft carrier!

  • Definitely not a Chinook. And the Inquiry would've blamed the pilot, for landing on the mesh instead of on the Pad. Looks as if it was a practice for some kind of Tactical Fantasy Mission - recapturing an Oil Rig from Illegal Tourists, most likely - so all rational Flight-Planning is superseded by the "need" for speed.... Plop !

  • 0:20 Here we come bravo 6 0:23 OH SH*** 0:29 OMGGGGGGGGGGG............over 0:32 *bubble* *bubble*

  • SEA KNIGHT!!! not chinook

  • that stupid barrier mesh is to blame for this. if not for that stupid stuff it would not of got hooked on.

  • you can see the landing gear got caught on that mesh type stuff. it got hooked up

  • I read somewhere that on average there are 2 chopper crashes everyday somewhere in the world.

  • did anybody survive? in the time this video rolled i didnt see any fast responses to go and rescue them. in the time this video showed what happened there should of been a diver in the water already

  • @210482fmj Sadly, no.

  • Yikes!

  • American type water service!

  • OH SHIT !

  • the left tire stucked into the safety bar :/

  • thats a sea knight CH-46

  • lucky any one got out at all. i cant even imagine. i use to ride in the back of these for years. So many buddies, so many memories. One day we fast roped onto our ship over and over for hours. I motioned to the pilot, go to another ship. He just laughed at me. We had 5 ships in our Task Force. "God rest u happy gentlemen, who laid your good lives down, who took the khaki and the gun, instead of cap and gown. God bring u to a fairer place than Oxford town." -W L Letts

  • this is not a chinook , its a sea knight

  • Beer was getting warm

  • Went down like a rock. Blessings.

  • Are you sure it was fatal?

  • @halukucar Yes, it was fatal. 18 people on the helicopter, 11 made it out...7 did not.

Rest in Peace and Semper Fi Marines.

  • Thats a Sea Knight by the way. As to the deaths, it doesnt matter what nationality they are, all death is tragic and I hope their families have found solace in the years since. RIP

  • SSEEEAAAA KKKNNNIIIGHTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats not a chinook thats a Sea knight

  • Horses make it easier!

  • Take your bs comments and shove them up your ass. I'm an American, these troops were American and God bless them.

  • Maybe the pilot had to pee

  • Once the helicopter crashed.. that guy peeking out should have jumped off.. 

  • Sea knigth -_-

  • Was there any particular reason to rush the landing this way, maybe mechanical?

  • @ALB437

They were practicing raiding a ship.

  • @Theorium... Just to be clear. The Sea Knight is smaller than the Chinook, with 3 landing gears instead of 4. Both got double rotor and 2 engines. I know what I say.

  • This isnt a CH-47 Chinook , is a CH-46 Sea Knight.

  • @LupoNero78 Sea King's have a single rotor assembly with five blades and look nothing like the CHINOOK in this video...Google it.

  • @Theorium

I've written Sea KNIGHT not Sea King. So first read better, second google it.

  • the cops are coming :O

  • how safe are those safety bars!

  • All he wanted to do was deliver that Care Package, but a SAM Turret gat him as he was landing!!!

  • what a waste of a perfectly good helicopter.

  • There is no accident..This is just a submarine helicopter...Don't waste our time

  • Were they okay?

  • came in to low and back hit off the safety bars and the force of the air wasnt distributed correctly therefor pushing over the side and into water

  • Comment removed

  • if it were russian or chinese chopter comments would say: epic fail, made in china, stupid pilot, the pilot was in a hurry coz the beer was getting hot, or just ha ha ha ha ha ha.... ha!!!!

But it is an USA ch-46, so alI have to say is OMG!!!. This was a fatal accident.

  • @WaffenSSLegion and if this happened in your country...........oh wait it wouldnt because your country is the size of a small city in california. So please stop stereotyping everyone in the US because if it wasnt for us you would even be able to say whatever you want on this website.

  • @WaffenSSLegion=== Which Legion? the "Hitler Rump Rangers" or the 'Waffen SS Warmer Bruder Batallion"??

"Du sollst mich am die 'vierbuechstaben' lecken, kruetzwaertz und senkrecht, im ganzen, kraeftIg!"

I flew these machines in combat, something you will never do....due to your lack of skill and innate nature..ie: totally gay!!

    Gruesse aus Alabama!!

    Dale

  • @WaffenSSLegion i love the "made in china " one =)))))

  • @WaffenSSLegion i think all of that now BECAUSE it was a US pilot. and there is a whole world outside america, (yes, there IS land beyond your retarded shores) that agrees with me.

  • @liamcalpine Psst from America......Fuck you

  • Holy fuck!

  • do you know if anyone survived?

  • @jaspervanbeek1 i think only one guy but he has major problems now

  • It's called dynamic rollover, look it up. The pilot should have just dumped the collective and not even attempted to take off and land again. Helicopter aerodynamics 101.

  • 18 people where in that heli

  • @RaINoX100 Go fuck yourself!

  • That's a seaknight you idiots.

  • aaah

  • lol her name is ch 46 sea knight

  • God look to that crew chief he just is like NOOOOOOOO. Thats kinda sad to see... But im happy to see that there was already 2 boats the heli probaly had problems..

  • what ironic that the ''safety bars'' plays a role in the crash

  • @grrgaap1234567890 Pilot error and miscommunication were the biggest factors.

  • yeah like everyone else is saying change your title and you discription, it is a CH-46 Sea Knight,..... I fly on ch-47D Chinooks and that is such a sad little bird that could fit inside of a chinook....ok not really unless it was cut up in to little pieces

  • That was just a step away from landing... Poor pilot must have thought that he's done.

  • did the crew make it out?

  • its a ch46 sea knight,we had 2 on my ship while i was in the USN back in 85.....

  • Ima goto daveee jones locker and ask da pilot what happen!

  • WOW!! Don't see that too often. looks like they were in trouble already (lost an engine perhaps) b/c they came in hot and had a rescue team already in the water

  • For those of you who are quick to assign blame to the pilot, make sure before you start shooting your mouths off that you are well educated in the fine art of rotary aviation. If not SHUT YOUR FAT FUCKING MOUTHS!!!!

  • For those of you who are quick to assign blame to the pilot make sure you are educated in the fine arts of ratary aviation. If not SHUT YOU FAT MOUTHS!!!!!!

  • US Marines and Sailors died in that crash have some respect

  • @marineguy99 Wonder if you'd say the same if was just your average joe.

  • You need to re title the video. It's not a Chinook. Us Chinook guys are offended people calling those little things Chinooks. The MC only wishes they were as cool as us.

  • @azbatman86 Get off your high horse bro its not that serious. Yes the Chinook is far superior than the CH-46. But we as Marines do well with outdated equipment and can do the job 100 times better than you guys so sit down and be quiet.

  • @smokeyhat Lol really? True story. Aug 2009, BIAP, Iraq. Hovering in high winds, waiting for permission to hover taxi into parking to drop off our 32 pax each ship. The 46's were also waiting to drop off. Not sure what their load wasbut will assume they were max cap in pax.

All of a sudden, they cut us off, and call tower. "Biap tower, we apologize for the move, but we just don't have the power the 47's have, and we cannot hover in the wind."

Beat that you pompus prick. Armed forces, same team

  • @azbatman86 LOL. Pompus is right as a matter of fact its a pre-requisite for us. As for the 46's cutting you off, the Marines took their rightful place in the line. IN FRONT OF YOU. LOL. Later bro

  • those nets are there to catch fish

  • thats gonna leave a mark

  • more like the SEA GOODNIGHT!!!

  • Did it tilt because of the downforce (onto the carrier surface) on one side of the chopper?

  • @kel1981 I think a wheel caught the edge, and he tried to pull up rather than drift back, so when he went up, one side stayed down, so it flipped him over

  • Comment removed

  • @TheChampagneBlonde they are man overboard nets to catch anybody that might go overboard obviously. you might think they're pointless to be there and might say well why don't they just be more careful. if you're out there on the pad in rough seas who's to say a wave won't come topside and wipe you off your feet sending you on your ass across the deck.

  • They failed.

  • @naka538 they all died you fucker

  • @macyND Stop shrinking your dick

  • @naka538 id love too but your mom sucks it too hard

  • Were they ok?

  • What an Unlucky Pilot!!

  • landing gear got hung up on the fence and prevented lift off

  • shiaat shiaaat -- american peasant

  • god bless our brave soldiers

  • ch 46

  • That is a Ch-46e Sea Knight from a medium lift Marine squadron in San Diego. If my memory serves me correctly 11 Marines lost their lives in this crash. RIP Devil Dogs!

  • thats is a sea knight

  • Comment removed

  • goddamn fence! d'oh!

  • buttmunches, this is not a Chinook, but CH46 Sea Knight !!!

  • I used to be a Crew Chief and Search and Rescue swimmer in CH-46's in the Navy in HC-6 and HC-8 at NAS Norfolk. The crew chief at the door is supposed to guide the pilot to the flight deck. It looks like they are coming too fast and too low. It looks like a survivable accident and I have seen some! The Navy does not fly Chinooks. and I believe that the CH-46's have been decommissioned.

  • a ship is moving on multiple axis...up and down in a front to back circle, left and right in a front to back circle, the deck is pitching prow to stern ;and roll from port to starboard...landing on a ship can be veeeery tricky.

The best of pilots can get it wrong.

  • He came in too hot and too low. Unless he had no choice, the pilot should have done a go-around. Does anyone know what happened to those on board?

  • @VolDep45 11 died

  • GUNNS4HIRE favourited this...

  • Thats not a chinook sir, thats a CH-46 seaknight

  • were they all ok

  • Thats not a chinook you r tard, its Ch-46

  • @mrpilot6786 MAN THE BOATS DOWN HERE!!

  • Not a Chinook, this is a CH-46, not CH-47.

  • i wonder wat happend to sgt.jackson

  • too bad that ape nigger one world government communist obama was not on

  • This is not a Chinook. It's a CH-46.

  • Check the landing gear, it got caught in the safety netting, safe for people who get knocked off there feet in rough weather, not so safe for a helo coming in for a landing

    RIP

brave sailors, marines, soldiers and airmen of the US/UK and other nations fighting the insurgent forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, yet some people think its ok to 'lol' when a freak accident happens.

  • That sucks, I hope everyone was rescued.

  • @floydfreak63

7 men died, 11 survived. Its a Sea Knight from USS Bonhomme Richard landing on the USNS Pecos

  • @mthoma11 Thanks for the info. Sad as it is though when I see things like this it makes me love and respect our fighting men and women all the more.

PS I looked at your channel. I grew up in Tacoma after a stint as an Army brat in Ft. Lewis. Small world, eh?

  • Damn lol

  • sea knight not chinook

  • @chunkyskids93 That isn't funny you prick, 7 people died. Not to mention that we have the best Airforce and Navy IN THE WORLD.

  • @24Rorschach Did 7 people really die on that crash ? If so that needs to be mentioned.
