Vocal cords are like the cords of an instrument. You can tune them to sound good. But everyone has different vocal cords, is like some have bass cords, violin chords, guitar cords, etc. If you got the cords of a cello you cannot sing like a guitar and so on. Her voice is meh, nothing no one can get with some singing lessons, is not so much about hating her (hate is a very strong word) as asking why does she have to sing.
