Mine do that. They'll keep going til they get the exact leaf they want, even if there are lower leaf vines to the ground than that one. All they need is a basketball court. White Chicken can jump! Cracks me up.

my chickens LOVE eating grasshoppers. it's like their favorite food. if i put regular food.. even sometimes human food like fried rice (vegetarian of course), in their with grasshoppers, they start chasing each other trying to snatch grasshoppers out of each others mouths, totally ignoring the rice
Ha ha....not weird at all... chickens WILL eat anything...that's not spoiled. That said, mine love sour cream. I also give them raw milk that's soured. They're way better than dogs when it comes to garbage disposal duties!! LOL

Ours jump up at loads of plants too :D there arent any leaves or flowers below a certain height in the garden.
And they play full-on rugby if you throw one grape into the garden. It's hilarious!
