  • I really prefer Barenboim :/

  • I love your gesticulate!

This piece is very touching, Yours is the best performance I've heard ever!

  • @Borcsiii

Thank you by heart, and happy you find good this style.

  • I love your gesticulate! :D

  • Thank you warmed my heart..

  • @burtovaya

and thank you for so kind and generous commenting.

  • You are awesome. That piece is much harder to play than people think. To bring out the melody as clearly as you have, and to inject that much feeling and emotion, takes a great deal of skill. I've listened to a few others playing it, most of them famous and well-paid, but I must say, your rendition is the best.

  • @wiwa94

Awesome is yuor kindness, thank you by heart.

But I will not be false modest, and I think to have a "cantabile" technique.

But the problem is the idea: first of all the meanings and the emotion of the melody, all the other parameters came after this.

If you believe in this, you'll build a certain type of sound......but this is not a common value in modern pianism. Bye and again thank you,

    Sandro

  • You're the italian Lang Lang :)

  • @dfd2020

    eheh. Thank you!!

  • Bravo! Truly lovely interpretation of this piece. Great tempo and dynamics. I found all the facial expressions and singing (a'la Glenn Gould ???) distracting, so I listened instead of watching and listening... but, nonetheless, STELLAR PERFORMANCE.

  • @crogersrx

So kind, thank you by heart!!

  • interpretazione corretta o no, mi piace molto. Bravo ! e' sicuramente diversa dalle altre!

  • grazie, davvero, e ciao!

  • I am playing this piece too and am badly in need of suggestion about pedalling.

My score says con pedal, but does not state where and how extensively to pedal, some versions have pedals throughout the piece, some not at all. I personally prefer with pedaling here and there, but then where to put it and how long at each interval is really frustrating :(

How shall I play this piece to be stylistically correct while still utilizing pedaling?

  • @Drelnis

Eheh, I'm the wrong pianist to ask. Here I search for a more lisztian than Mendelssohn "sound". I'm not interested in so called "stylistically correct"......

    But it's a complex question....

sorry, and thank you for attention.

  • I think, that it's interpretation a little rude for me.

  • I hope you'll find more refined versions...

    thank you for attention

  • Very musical! Good job. I love your page turning. ;D

  • eheh! thank you!!

  • very nice, great playing:)

  • thank you much!!

  • Best performance of this piece I've heard so far !

  • Thank you!!!

  • WOW! haha realy nice performance! haha i love your energy! xD

  • thank you! Happy of your attention and of your so kind words.

  • wow! your performance is so beautiful! are you a teacher?

  • thank you, happy you liked it.

I'm a teacher, but not of piano....

    Bye!!

  • Haha, I like how you are mouthing the words to a song with none... You play this piece much better than I do :)

  • Beautiful piece, beautifully played!

  • Thank you much for your so kind comment.

    Bye,

    S.

  • Tastes are tastes. For example, I do not like Baremboim version......

  • yeahh i like it!!!

  • Bravo! It is very interesting to hear and see your interpretation of this beautiful piece. When I play this piece it evokes alot of images and memories. I would be happy if you could see my interpretation of it in my videos.

  • Me encanta tu uso del Pedal!

    un abrazo

  • Gracias! More Liszt than Mendelssohn, but for me is good so.

  • this is beautiful. i have heard many recordings of this peice. you bring out an aspect of emotion and freedom in this piece. I am having to learn it as it is a trnity guild hall grade 8 peice for 2009-2011. i would be pleased if i play it as well as you. probably take me a couple of months to learn it. again your clip sounds beautiful.

  • Thank you! So kind.

I find very important to distinguish much the sound and the dynamics of the melody from

    the arpeggios' ones.

  • yes it is an interesting score. i find looking at it in particular the melody in the fisst frase it must be played legato with staccato appegiations. to some degree it limits the lazy aproach of using the foot pedel. a bonus i guess if you want to take finger dynamics into acount.

again very nice. i like the tempo you are playing at i think some people play it to fast.

  • beautiful beautiful beautiful!

    and yes, to freedom :)

  • Thank you schaoka2, you are very kind.

    All the best for you.

  • Except that you re passionate you have a good technique! Are you a teacher or something?

  • Thank you PiercingExpert. Yes, I found fundamental the technique aspects, also and especially for sound creation and control.

And I work on pure technical excercises.

I'm a teacher, but not of piano. I'm an amateur, and I study/play about 100-120 min.

X day. I studied piano technique when I was boy, in a conservatory, and that part of training was not bad. More technique, more freedom to your ideas. More freedom.

  • How old have you been when you started playing the piano?

  • about 8. I studied until 22. Then no more piano for about 17 years, then I begun again.

    Bye.

  • Goodbye my dearest friend!

  • I disagree abou statement that you are an amateur. You are a PRO!

  • Eheh. Very kind Androslav, too much kind.

My idea is to demonstrate that also an amateur

(who make other works than playing to maintain himself,as me) can have big satisfaction in playing, and he also can obtain good results....

I made regular studies when I was boy, and I preserve (and cultivate) a decent technique.

And also the good piano I have (Bohemia) and the good audio equipment have their part.

But again thank you and all the best.

  • That was oneof the best performance of this loving piece I have ever heard, really!

  • OMG O_O I have to play like that for my teacher O_O waw... So Beautiful Song

  • I know this piece very well and I have to say, you play it with so much fantasy and sensation. I like you changes of articulation, especially at the beginning. Interesting thought, one time more staccato, and the second time more legato. Very musically played, have my sincere congratulations!

  • Thank you, musicusblau, very kind.

  • Bravo!!! your so ... passionate!!

  • Passionate....never enough.

Very kind blueyoyi, I hope you'll enjoy other

    my videos.

    Thank you,

    Sandro
