I don't understand how did you link Suzzane Monkey without using Plane Constraints, Distance Constraint, Point Constraint (tracking aint everything...). Is it that simple in Blender (If so then Can you please tell how) ? But in Maya you have to do a lot of stuff to add a cube in this simple footage. My conclusion Suzzane Monkey does'nt move according to the tracked points.

Can't you just make the screen on the animation in blender green then chroma key that out on Final Cut Pro then export that to Adobe After effects, put the two clips together then track?

this is a great tutorial on voodoo, virtualdub, and blender. i tried this but i only got to the point where i hit "track" in voodoo. once i hit track, it would work for less than 2 seconds and then would come up with an error and have to shut down. Can any one PLZ HELP me!!!!

God, but open Blenders video sequence editor, load your video, change the file output to tga... voila, you converted your video to tgas without using dubmod....

you didn't use the tracking data! the monkey head should have been linked to a tracking point, so it doesn't move relatively to the scene. that's what tracking is all about.

the monkey head isn't linked to the tracking data, the camera is. the points and the monkey head are to appear stationary while the virtual camera moves in the same fashion the real camera did. THAT's what tracking is all about.

my point is actually, that the monkey doesn't look like it's stationary, but moves relatively to the scene.

having watched the tutorial again, i see what the problem might be. you didn't move the monkey into the tracking point cloud, so that's propably why it's moving relatively to the background, because you didn't put it deep enough into the scene to actually rest on the floor.
