Hey there, nice ride! Do you have any estimate on the speed the LRP Vector 6.5t puts out in your buggy? I'm thinking of getting one, the price seems damn decent.
I have no figures, but it's pretty fast. I got a great deal on the Sphere when only the sphere and Novak SS were available to the mainstream, if I had to pay full price on a brushless system now I'd definitely get a Castle Creations Mamba Max.
With the software updates they put out the Mamba Max is the smoothest, most capable and most customisable BL ESC in the mainstream market right now. You get an amazing product for the money. I have a Sidewinder on the way to control a Feigao 380C 8t.
It's very undergeared in the video, it can pull at least 3-4 teeth more on the pinion, and I ran it off an old 2000mah 6-cell nicd. I have no idea about top speed figures, but it's fast enough to be scary when getting near it. I still haven't reached its top speed because it gets squirmy. I'd say that 40+ mph is a possibility. There are better options out there though.
The Vector X11 6.5t is a 6900kv motor, that is it puts out 6900rpm with no load per volt. The traxxas velineon is 3500kv and the mamba max motors are 4600, 5700, 6900 or 7700, depending on which one you get.
So the Vector 6.5t will have a higher top speed than the velineon and the two lower-kv castle motors. I don't know about torque since I have tried the other 2 systems. However, the "slower" motors can run on higher voltages, meaning they can get higher total rpms. You can msg me if you want.
