i think you should get a cassette, it's a little bit harder, but once you know how to ride with a cassette you could move on to freecoasters, but if you start with a freecoaster and then get a cassette it's gonna be harder because you'll have to re-learn a lot of tricks.

I'm pretty sure you are riding with a hub so find out what hub it is and since you have already rode a lot of street, you should already know what feels comfy for you. I used to ride with a freecoaster back in 98 or something like that, some Japanese company Nankai was making the first ones designed for BMX that needed no mods.

It lasted about a month, I was pretty bummed because my go-to tricks were all fakie stuff.

i have the freecoaster hub and its a new bike but the chain slips off all the time and the hub doesnt make the wheel go and when it does it makes a loud pop and just spins not moving anywhere then it will pop agian and work for abitt what could b wrong?

@countryboy94hoss Sounds like your chain isn't tight enough. You could try shortening the chain, using a chain tensioner, or adjusting the spring in the freecoaster.

@kazzick123 Its called a left-hand drive. (LHD for short). Its used mostly for riders who grind on the right and bend sprockets, damage hubs, etc while grinding. LHD prevents these problems by switching to the left side.

the barrings wouldn't get as much pressure if you had spring to give it some room to move while the rider feels it. that way your not waiting for it to lock up to stop, once you feel the tension turn around.
