  • WCW owns WWE

  • ok most of yuo are all just angry that wcw lost to wwf/e so come down

  • DVD is beast! 20 extra matches!! beast juuice

  • WOLFPAC IN DA HOOUUSSEE!!!

  • WWF/E Sucks!!! NWA/WCW 4-EVER!!!!!

  • i hate that fucking wwe logo in the corner

  • WWE is all glamour,, the only matches in the WWE i watched were Flair Matches. WCW was the shit in the mid 90's, Id love to see a push to get it back. Flair and Sting matches were the best of any rivalry known to date.

  • to Jim Ross' credit he did say he felt that in the early 90's WCW had a superior product when compared to the WWE

  • Ive now seen the WWE DVD: Rise and fall of WCW. It was not at as bad as I thought it would be but, still it had similar problems to other WWE DVDs it rarely interviews the people its directly putting blame on for ex. Vince Russo, Ole Anderson, the pizza guy Jim Herd,, Ted Turner, Bishoff's commentary was just a re-playing of what he said years ago in the Monday Night War DVD

  • they probably got turned down by half those guys when they did ask for an interview.

  • . these are just a few of the problems but all that being said I think that Fans of prowrestling who didnt live it should watch it. WCW was different form all the rest of the companies for one reason It was so dominant at one point WWF couldnt compete with them they had a great talent its too bad that bad management allowed it to sink and it was too much for one man to run and this is where the DVD is important it shows the politics that always destroy in prowreslitng.

  • @MrLc94 Although it would have been nice if Eric Bischoff actually participated in this instead of stock footage from the Monday Night Wars DVD because he more or less started the Monday Night Wars by insisting Nitro air opposite of RAW on Monday nights.I wasn`t expecting Sting in the first place because he was under contract to TNA then and still is.

  • WCW in many ways was more complex than the WWE they had a variety of talents and didnt ignore Light heavyweights and used women performers (nitro girls) that were not necessarily wrestlers with or victims but had a legit fan followings because they were almost an attraction to themselves. therein inability to keep the WCW or ECW fans is enough to show that there is a market for something different

  • It did not include Vince's plea to the fans when Vince would say things like "Ted Turner is hell bent on running the WWF out of business" and "we are a family owned company and Billionaire Ted has deep pockets" not to humiliate the WWE or Vince but it would show the real tension that was created by real competition to not just the WWE but Vinces tired product and the fans response.

  • It failed to include the smear tactics the WWF used against WCW like Billionaire Ted, or Nacho Man and Huckster(arguing with Billionaire Ted who would get the belt first), (also attacking the average age of wrestlers implying they are too old to be on TV (but you dont hear that today cuz allot of their talent is just as old if not more) ) or Gilberg, but they did show WCWs smear tactics like giving away results of pretapes shows, and Oklahoma (parody of JR) I dont think this was by mistake.

  • as much as I respect Jim Ross he is totally on the side of who ever is paying his checks so i really can't wait for him to write a book after he retires to hear his real opinion

  • Jim Ross is nothing but a WWE butt kisser. His fat ass totally forgot or don't care about his roots.

  • @Koolazzmike He's just bitter that he was Vice President of the company and got fired right during the rise of WCW by Bishoff.

  • this will be much like the "wcw invasion" totally unrepresentative of the real WCW

  • yep u guys have just taken the words out my mouth, i was gonna say i hbet this will be a squash of sorts on wcw with it being from a wwe point of view and vince basically saying wcw was shit which for what was it 88 weeks in a row it most certaintly wasnt.

  • WOW! I can't believe they got Jim Crockett himself, I'll check it out although I know the truthbehind WCW failing. No Vince Mcmahon revisionest history for me.

  • Not een gonna buy this crap. As with the monday night wars, this dvd will be told from Vince and the wwe perspective, in other words, it will be totally one sided, b.s. filled dvd.

  • I agree, and also the fact that there's no big WCW guys around to tell their story, Sting was really needed for this DVD, he was the figurehead of WCW.

  • I agree too...no big names for this DVD ..plus seeing the WWE logo on WCW footage sucks!
