hasegawa is really good.however fight only in his mainland don't expose him to top caliber opponents.let's see aside from agbeko and perez, there's still mares and morel who can rival hozumi's speed.his body is also leaner than the aforementioned..but skillwise hasegawa is so good,no doubt about it.i want to see if his fists are capable of knocking down world class fighters

I disagree with the class... Malinga beat Sahaprom and the others were ranked in the top ten around the world. It's easy to say he fights cans because he only fights in Japan but that's not the case. He's KO'd his last 5 opponents, and I feel that he'd beat Perez, Agbeko, Montiel, Mares, Sidorenko, any of these guys. You don't remain a champ for 5 years and make ten successful defenses against world class fighters and not be the real deal, at least in my humble view.
I think we will see in a couple of months what he really can do. He's set to fight Montiel in a couple of months and Hasegawa took a pay cut to give him a bigger purse than usual. That right there shows that he's willing to fight top guys. Sure some of the guys he's beaten are B and a couple of C level fighters, but if you look at how he beat them, it shows he's the goods. And Vetyeka, Garcia and Moludrottu were on the Ring top 10 when he fought them, so he has beaten some worthy guys.
He has beaten much better fighters than the rest of the world champions at Bantamweight and fights Fernando Montiel next. Only Perez and Agbeko are capable of giving him a fight at this weight.

It's advious that most American based fighters(like Junma Lopez,Israel Vazquez,etc) don't have the courage to come to Japan to fight Hzumi Hasegawa.That' the reason why they claim that Hasegawa needs to fight in the US.
I agree that hasegawa shoud fight against strong fighter, go aboraod, but why have to go USA? Good fighter can come Japan. But, i know, jet lag, different climate, food, environment can strongly influence their condition.
His opponent shoud consider some body blow combinations added a fake punch to get an advantage over him.he has excelent skills for head slip and footwork,but his blocking isn't so good..looking at matches against Veeraphol or Garcia.

Great Champion, disciplined and pinpoint punching. Malinga's defence leaks like a sieve. With Hasegawa in front of you, you can't survive to see the last round. Guys let's live Pacman out of this, he doesn;t feature in this fight.

If you look at the career development of both, they contrast till now where a comparison is interesting. The way I read HH record, he was a boxer when he won title, then afterward he must have improved on his punching power. So that made him a well rounded fighter today. When pacman was fighting at this weight, he was a one handed power puncher, today he is also a well rounded fighter.
There styles are similar in that they are both southpaws with good aggressive offense, with the main punches being the straight left and right hook, and the in and out defense. Pound for pound pacman is still a better fighter and even HH has said this, but HH has been a champion for a long time and deserves more recognition for his accomplishments.
I am basing his quick hands on what we can all see and how his opponents reaction when they are down, ie very surprise and don't know what hit them. Similar reactions from pacquiao opponents.
His footwork is better, better balance and more fluent movement. Compare them when they circle the ring and play defense.
I've followed pacquiao's fights since he was on HBO and hasegawa for about a year, but I've viewed all of HH fights on youtube.
Gerry "Fearless" Peñalosa should fight this top guy next. Hasegawa is number one in the bantamweight division right now and for the most recent JuanMa Lopez loss to be forgettable, Peñalosa should come back down to this division and face this guy.

Well, I am here in the US and he is recognized as the best Bantamweight in the world. Hasegawa is fighting more legitimate top 10 fighters than any champion right now. マリンガが決して弱い指名挑戦者と思わないし、もんくなしのKO勝ちだが、この指名試合がやや仕組まれたと感じるのは
１． マリンガがウィラポンに勝って、いきなり世界ランク1位になっている
２． その際のウィラポンの動きが明らかに鈍い
３． そもそも落ち目のウィラポンと試合できたのは、マリンガのプロモーターにお金があったからだと思う。
そう考えるとファイトマネー・スポンサーの話抜きには試合はできないだろうと思う。本人が海外で格上の相手とやりたくても、お金を稼げるボクサーにそんなリスクのある試合をさせられないのがジム・プロモーター側の立場なのだろう。

That right there shows that he's willing to fight top guys. Sure some of the guys he's beaten are B and a couple of C level fighters, but if you look at how he beat them, it shows he's the goods. And Vetyeka, Garcia and Moludrottu were on the Ring top 10 when he fought them, so he has beaten some worthy guys.

If you look at the career development of both, they contrast till now where a comparison is interesting. The way I read HH record, he was a boxer when he won title, then afterward he must have improved on his punching power. So that made him a well rounded fighter today. When pacman was fighting at this weight, he was a one handed power puncher, today he is also a well rounded fighter.

There styles are similar in that they are both southpaws with good aggressive offense, with the main punches being the straight left and right hook, and the in and out defense. Pound for pound pacman is still a better fighter and even HH has said this, but HH has been a champion for a long time and deserves more recognition for his accomplishments.

I am basing his quick hands on what we can all see and how his opponents reaction when they are down, ie very surprise and don't know what hit them. Similar reactions from pacquiao opponents.
His footwork is better, better balance and more fluent movement. Compare them when they circle the ring and play defense.
I've followed pacquiao's fights since he was on HBO and hasegawa for about a year, but I've viewed all of HH fights on youtube.

Well, I am here in the US and he is recognized as the best Bantamweight in the world. Hasegawa is fighting more legitimate top 10 fighters than any champion right now. Fighting in their own country or not, I don't think it matters as long as your fighting good fighters. About Gorres having more experience, that is not true at all. Gorres has more fights, but Hasegawa is fighting at a way higher level and fights much better guys. And yes, people want to see him fight in the US.

You guys need to chill the fuck out! Z Gorres, Nishioka, Hasegawa are all good fighters in their own right. Penalosa ko'd Gonzalez with a body shot, Nishioka ko'd him to the chin, so it's a totally different concept. Nishioka, by the way has fought in the US 3 times all KO victories and Hasegawa want's to fight in the US, but of course it makes more business sense to fight in Japan, cuz he makes lots of money there. Looks easy on TV? Sure, that's because Hasegawa is way too fast and skillful! I mean Hasegawa put 3 punches in that 1st down. Putting Left & Right blow and made Malinga's guard down and finishing Left in split second. 3rd down; as you can see it's beautiful cross-counter! He really showed us his skills.

Malinga isn't weak. Hasegawa was simply the superior and faster boxer.
I don't get the incredulity or some of the obnoxious racism. Hasegawa has been accepted as the world's best bantamweight for years now. It's not because of his race, but his individual ability.
