I remember watching this game. And if you look at the resource counter, Bisu's also producing units while microing his goons. Remember, in SCBW, you can select ONLY 1 building at a time. That's crazy multitasking.

@DerOrk No this is way more micro intensive. Do you see those small mines being planted by the vultures all the time? Bisu selects different dragoons to attack them individually before they can detonate. Something similar in sc2 would be to have a raven army vs a stalker army and then having the stalkers attack all the auto seeking missiles (but with the exception that vultures' mines actually do cost efficient damage while ASM doesn't, so it wouldn't really be a problem for the stalkers).

@haunter90 Not without changes to its unit pathing. In BW notice battles are huge and spread out, with a lot of potential for micro with so much space between units. In SC2 it's mostly ball vs. ball because of the way units automatically clump together when you move them.

@haunter90 I have doubts about this for 2 reasons. One, Blizzard/GOM are treating the map pool like the be all, end all for strategy. Two, the constant balance patching (and the constant QQ from the player/fan base) doesn't give any time for the game to stabilize and encourages more flavor of the month circle jerking rather than deeper play and understanding.

@ec688 I agree with what you say, a lot of the whine is about balance which isn't really the issue. The game will eventually be pretty much balanced

The problem is the improved AI/pathing etc which make it easier to play + certain units (I'm talking about you Marauders, Collosus, Infestors etc) which just all combine to wipe armies out instantly. There have been few games I've seen of SC2 which have the kind of sustained back-and-force battles as showcased in this video

Well they replaced and changed around some units. Vultures are in single player campaign. In multiple they were changed by a unit called "Hellion". The vulture land mine, with the current detection tech tree of other races would be a super bitch to deal with. By presenting the hellion they slightly changed the way a Terran player will Harrass using his Factory units. It is just another fun way to play the game. I mean, who wants a clone game?

I remember watching this game when it was new. It was fucking amazing. Bisu went 14 nexus, Flash tried to bunker rush him. Bisu held it off. Then Flash tried to kill him with mass vultures, and Bisu destroyed like every single mine with GODLY micro. It was insane. Any normal Protoss player would have died because he went fast expansion and was pressured that game. Bisu SHOULD have lost, but his h4x micro made him win.

That, my silly friend, is apm.
