I do feel bad for zoo animals sometimes, like I wish they could go hunting & eat when they want instead of waiting for us to feed them but I understand there are people that buy these animals & don't take care our discard them when they don't have the skills they need to survive on their own

These cats wouldn't be able to survive in the wild as they are captive bred and have never developed proper skills to hunt. Sure they have instincts, but skill and technique are also needed for animals to hunt properly and survive. Plus, these cats were rescued from horrid conditions such as circus animals or former pets. This is the best home they could hope for.

Cougars are so wild. Of all the big cats, I respect them the most, and fear them. I've seen them in the wild and even though they've never attacked people in my area I can't help feeling like prey when in their territory.

@silentfades Not really...I mean like anyone in the animal field, I have had some interesting things happen, but so far so good. The only dangerous times have been in Africa on safari, and once or twice while transporting animals. No bites or scratches from cats, but I did get a little scar from a Babirusa once. At work in all my jobs I have been in protected contact, meaning never in with the big cats like lions or tigers.
