  • you look like you would use dry shampoo

  • its not hard to get in us aaha they sell it like everywhere, any sally hansens

  • @MaddyKerr10 When I was around 13, I had amazingly greasy hair too, I guess I wish I had this then :P But my one massive tip for anyone with greasy hair is to try and wash it less. It is the opposite from what you want to do with your hair, but if you wash your hair everyday then you are stripping it of it's natural oils, which makes your scalp produce more, making your hair greasier. I now only wash my hair twice a week, and it rarily gets greasy. Hope this helps :)

  • @EternalFiend3 So true! I work at a hair salon and that is what we tell all of our clients! It sounds extremely disgusting, but it has worked for everyone I've told. Try to go as many days as possible (ideally, a week or so) without washing, and you will see a tremendous difference! Now I only have to wash my hair every three days, but I tend to stick to every other day.

  • when you touch your hair after you spray it, is it hard or crunchy like hairspary? & does it make your hair smell good? haha, (:

  • very helpful, thanks :)

  • Maybe your hair dries out so fast is because you over wash it?? I don't think it's good if you shampoo your hair everyday because you are taking all the natural oils out of your hair.

  • this sucks

  • I bought this yesterday and I love the smell of this one. Bit of a scaredy cat question haha Its a solvent and all that and a spray, will this go up in smoke if i use my straightners on it after or should I style it as normal before and then use it? Thankyou if anyone can help :)

  • @heylenahey it shouldnt, no. But to be on the safe side i'd use a heat protectant spray. You can get them at any drugstore, and they protect your hair against heat and affect of such a solvent.

  • @Anniemaretta Thankyou for the advice. I do use heat protectant spray anyway but I did end up just using my normal hair care routine and straightners on it and it was finee. Whicch is good! haah, didn't fancy going up in smoke.

  • @rubmeout13 it works on all hairtypes I have naturally curly hair and I works really well :)

  • does it work on curly hair?

  • you can do this with baby powder no need to buy this stuff

  • I went to Boots like 3 days ago and it was only £2.35, and at the moment it's 3 for 2 so go hurry it you need some!

    (;

  • Thank you for this video! I just bought my first bottle of dry shampoo today and wasn't sure how to use it, so this is great.

I wish dry shampoo was more easily available in Canada when I was in high school. I would actually skip days just because I was too tired to shower the night before and I didn't want to go to school with gross hair. xD I think I'll be using it a lot when I start university in the fall though!

  • do you cut your own fringe/bangs if not, how do you get them cut at the hairdressers? they look lovely :) <3

  • i wish i could shower everday and im starting to do it every other day now because i get such bad, irritated scalp and body if i wash everyday. so this helps with the in between days

  • I live in Singapore and it's very very humid. I wash my hair EVERYDAY, but I get very oily by the end of the day. Like by 7pm or 8pm. And my hair becomes really limp and greasy. So I'm so getting this! So that if I have LONG days and nights out that I don't have time to go home for a bath. It'll be a savior! :) :) :)

  • @funkyjuntastic i live in singapore too!!!!!!!! you can buy this on asos.com!!!!!!!!!! i'm so getting it as well!

  • @gracedesigns YOU CAN GET IT FROM GUARDIAN! :) But it's usually stow at some low self or something. And not all guardians carry it. You need to go to the larger stores. I got mine from Raffles City Shopping Centre. I know Parkway's branch carries it to. It's only for $8.50. :)

  • @funkyjuntastic OMG!!!! THANKS!!! :) i tried to buy it on asos after replying to yor comment, then asos told me it cant ship it to singapore cuhs its considered a "hazardous good" -____- gosh i'm so going to rafflescity to get it! :D

  • @gracedesigns hahaha! i think as long as it's a BIG Guardian store they will carry it! :) It will be with the hairspray/gel/shampoo area I think. You can try asking the sales person, but apparently most of them don't know what Dry Shampoo is and will say they don't carry it. :)

  • If anyone is using this and it looks like they have dandruff...it may be because the had hairspray or a product in their hair from before and the dry shampoo seems to show the little hairspray particles

  • Your hair looks lovely in this video (:

Might try out that stuff, looks great! Plus I can never be bothered to wash my hair! :P

  • can u make one about how u cut your hair

  • Love your videos! you are so cuuteeee and I love the accent...but this one is funny!!!

  • Do you find that the dry shampoo leaves little white flakes in your hair?

  • I love this product but i would just rather wash my hair i think it is quicker myself !! xx

  • can you use this product at the bottom/ends of the hair ?? xx

  • you can also get it from fragrance direct

  • how do you keep your fringe from going greesy? mine is always greesy when I wake up in the morning and I have to rewash ad blowdry it...very helpful vid cheers! xx

  • Yor hair has so much volume! I'm jealous :p

  • best tutorial of dry shampoo I have found thanks

  • isnt this basically just spray deoderant O.o

  • I love your hair. I was wondering can you make a video describing your hair cut? Please (:

  • oh and your hair looks lovly :) i want that fringe

  • u remind me of chantelle from bigbrother, before she went slutty

  • hi

    i have a question

does it look like you have dandruff at the roots?

  • @tinaagu When itried it it wasnt rubbing in and just looked like i had dandruff!

  • thankyou! this has helped me so much as i plan on going to the music festival t in the park in summer, in scotland. btw, i love your fringe and the way your hair is cut, what would i say to my hairdresser to get it like this? xx

  • Fabulous review, thanks!! :)

  • random question : I really like your fringe. when you go to the hairdressers how do you say you want your fringe cutting to get the fringe you have got??

  • i use this stuff i think more than any other hair product i use it all the time even if my hair is not oil , because it makes my hair fluffy and adds great volume =] the only thing i have to complain about is its about $ 10 's here and i bought the original by mistake and it smells like lemons and grass... good thing the smell fades quickly

  • I bought mine @ Sallys in Seattle - thanks for the tutorial - it is so helpful :o) I LOVE this stuff... I bleached my hair so I really only wash it every few days - it totally refreshes it :o)

  • check out my blog, i just did a review on the Tresemme dry shampoo!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

you have no idea the stupid way i was using it literally like a all over spray then brush it through, your way is like soooo much better! best video ever! xx!

  • @Ryan7197 I know, right?! Because that is kind of what the instructions are telling you to. I really learnt something from this video :D

  • shoppers drug mart in Canada sells this, as well as Sephora :]

works amazing. thanks for the review!

  • your voice is so cute.bless.x

  • i bought this stuff and it works pretty damn good! it smells lovely and actually does help make hair feel less greasy. buttt it gets irritating when it builds up on my scalp :/

  • @helenbobelennn is this for like black ppl 2?

  • i never knew people didn't wash their hair for days voluntarily..

showering is wonderful. do it every day.

  • Your hair needs are not the needs of everyone else. Some people don't produce massive amounts of oil on their scalps, so washing daily would actually be quite damaging.

Incidentally, it is possible to take a shower without getting your hair wet.

  • how enlightening

  • @rahrahritaa it's actually bad to wash your hair every day. it doesn't mean people don't shower every day, it just means they don't shampoo every day.

  • Quite long but very helpful! Thanks! :)

  • 4 day ? :O i Wash mine almost everyday

  • i'd say washing your hair every 4 days is a little too far between. if you have dry hair you should every 2 days, if you have very oily hair you should wash every day. the only exception is if you have EXTREMELY curly hair because your hair doesn't come in contact with your scalp as much so you can wash it every 3 days. (i work at a hair salon.)

  • What a load of rubbish!!!

  • That's nice for a rush as you said but NOTHING is as good for you and people around you with noses than actually washing hair everyday, trust me girls is really gross hug someone and notice dirty hair, shower should be an everyday thing!!!

  • Where do you hang out, skid row? My fiance showers daily, but washers her hair like every 4 days. She has never had stinky hair. You just need to meet people who can maintain hair.

  • 4 days? gross.

  • It's not actually, you just need to quit hugging homeless people.

  • in england you can get it in sainsbury's and you can probably get it in most other supermarkets

  • i love your eyes :)

  • you feel so good.

  • im totally getting it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your bangs are so pretty

  • @mynameisirelevent it's not 'bangs', us Brits call it a fringe

  • Got this @ Sallys (USA) for about $7 dollars. Thanks for the review! Its a life saver!! It really saves me time b/c I used to wash my hair everyday!!

  • thanks alot (:

  • U can buy it at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada.

  • Bought the original one from boots yesterday :)

    Next up,blush & tropical! :D

  • i really need to get some actually. i have to wash my hair like every day, and from that and dying my hair, its really dry

  • did you just do the roots/sides or did u do the whole of yr hair like the tips too?

  • amazon sells it

  • lol i just found out sally beauty suppply sells this

  • thats where i got mine. I love it :)

  • How much $ is it?

  • i loooove your bangs. (:

  • This video has changed my life in some small way. Just did a blog post on it. :) Thank you so much for this video, Gemma. :) xxx

  • haha it takes me half an hour in the shower let alone my hair :))

  • Great video. I've been using this for a while but being really lazy with my application of it. I'm going to try it the way you do it and see how I get on. :) Your hair looks lovely btw. :) x

  • How does it feel after the application?

  • in the U.S. it is sold at Sally's Beauty Supply or on their website for worldwide.

  • Fab! x

  • thanks. i need to buy some of that. and it is cheap compared to all the other ones.

  • I'm a lad guna get some for leeds fest cause i hate my hair feelin dirty, always wash it like 1-2 times a day usually.

Id only use it quickly though in the time you do it, you could of washed and dried your hair in a sink xD

  • 1-2 times?!?! i tink u got OCD lol

  • i got the pink one of that =D.

its amazing (L)! deffo go buy it people ;) !

  • i use lee stafford which is about £5 i think, but i really dislike the smell of it, so il defo try this one :)

    xx

  • How often did you use it?

And how long did it last?

  • This dry shampoo is really good, but it runs out very quick after only using it a few times!

  • if you're in the US, they sell batiste at Sally Beauty shops.

    hope that helps C:

  • the reason it goes course and dry is because you straighten your hair. its not rocket science.

  • Haha don't worry I wasn't about to get NASA involved over my greasy hair. Clearly straightening your hair makes it dry, but what I meant is that when my hair needs washing, rather than going really greasy like some people's does, mine goes dry. Thats all.

  • in the US you can get Batiste products at Sally's Beauty Supply!

  • is it good?

  • yeah, if you're in a rush.

i like the way it doesn't leave your hair feeling gross and all weird texture-ish like baby powder or anything!

  • Thanks for letting us know :) x

  • what shampoo and conditioner do u use ?

  • I change all the time to be honest! x

  • You're so lucky that's what your hair looks like when you wake up! Mine makes me look like a monster....curly hair!

  • Haha thats when it was straightened though! x

  • YEAH! Thats ace, always stayed away from dry shampoo... NOT ANYMORE :)

  • :) xx

    x

  • Bargain! x

  • i love your eyelashes

    they look great !

what mascara do you use ?

  • I believe her favorite is YSL but I'm sure she's a fan of Eyeko mascara and L'oreal Voluminous. She's done a review on Eyeko if you'd like to check that out.

  • Yep Katherine is right! I love ysl faux cils but eyeko and voluminous are amazing drugstore finds x

  • I bought the tropical one at sally's on sale for 6.99 the original price was 7.99,i think it's way more expensive in america than in the uk.

  • do you like it? x

tho i'm overly excited in superdrug as there are TWO NEW FLAVOURS/smells of Batiste ! ones called Diva and the other Boho

  • Thanks for doing this video - I was interested to see how it worked on dark hair like mine! I've got the brown Bumble & Bumble dry shampoo but no matter how much I rub or brush it still looks powdery (even though I don't use much) so I'm going to give this a shot instead!

  • Have you seen the new scents? They are in Superdrug and Boots at the mo.... one is called Diva and the other is called Boho. The Diva one smells gorgeous and I like it better than the coconut-y Tropical one.

I always forget to do the underneath sections like you said but I usually just stick my hair up when I use dry shampoo so it's less noticeable. Great tut.:)

  • i have the diva one too.. its lurshhhh

  • Thanks! I can't wait to smell the new ones! x

  • yay!!! i'm in the US and i found it at a sally beauty supply store!!! so excited!! thank you for tutorial its a major help

i have real oily hair and have to wash it everyday but washing my hair everyday isnt good for my skin or scalp so ugh i would use baby powder to aborb the oils from my hair but i'm looking for something new and since this is virtually the same just talc in a spray bottle form its that much more convenient thank you for introducing it to me

  • No problem! I hope it works out for you! xx

  • This tutorial came just in time for me! I just bought two bottles of Batiste to try! :)

  • Oh, great! Hope you like them :) x

  • Sally's has it in Canada...but it's kind of expensive...if you don't have a membership it's over $10. With a membership it's just over $8.

  • Yeah that is more than it costs over here but not as expensive as a higher end one. It works really well too x

  • Your eyelashes look gorgeous, which mascara do you use?

    xx

  • Thanks! I am using the eyeko mascara, I have a video review up of it if you are interested :) x

  • Tropical is lovely! x

  • I still shower every morning just sometimes don't have time to wash my hair every day. Its not about hygiene but about sprucing your hair up between washes.

  • just incase ppl want to know... they sell Batiste in Shoppers Drugmart & Pharmasave in Canada. I've only been able to find the Original scent and Tropical (not the Blush) for around $8.99 (which is kinda pricey). I love it though, its especially good for refreshing hair in the summer.

  • Oh thanks for letting people know! x
