Since I live on the Cuyahoga and saw REM perform at this at Public Hall in Cleveland when it first was released in the 80's, I give it my blessing. A fine rendition.

Wow - u guys are being too tough - I like it. Cool cover of a tune that would be pretty obscure to a non-REM fan. Bass line is fine by me, too. The only thing it lack is a little of the drive of the original, but this is in a radio station, not a recording studio.

The bass line is spot on w/ the original. My only issue is that no R.E.M. is great w/out a Rickenbacker.

@bklyntigr Agreed. It isn't just the lack of a Ric tone in the mix. The bass is off. The drums don't sit well. Unsure exactly how to pinpoint it except for wrong. If they did their own rendition of Cuyahoga, with a slight twist, I wouldn't be so heavy handed at criticizing the cover.
