Cool application. To set it on, the application must be running in the background. Then put the phone in your pocket and the lock alarm would sound indicating it is on. Take the phone out of your pocket and the alarm would sound. One problem though. Found that alarm can be de-activated by pressing any key.

it said symbian error permission denied!!!

when i click the icon!!! i installed the python 1.9.5

and xpress alarm 1.0 and i tried also 2.0 still they have same outcome please do send me email how to fix this error!!! i really like this app!! please!!!

hey this application is not really useful for me.. coz i am never ever gonna run after the thief if he steals the mobile.. he might stab us or sumthing.. why dont you make a software where you send an sms to the mobile and it automatically locks it so the phone will be useless for the thief

how do you make xpress alarm work? i installed python 1.9.5 in my phone memory as well as the xpressalarm. it didnt work so i rebooted my phone, still, it didn't work. when i open xpress alarm all i see is like a notepad with texts that signifies errors. i hope you will make a video tutorial on how to install python 1.9.5 and xpress alarm properly or answr me.

Hi, I like your idea. But, i have found one possible, major glitch.

If i take the phone out of one pocket and put it in other pocket, then the app doesn't work, if

that was faster than the time to trigger seconds settings. Also it seems to me that if you even touch the unlock button by mistake while taking the phone out of the pocket, it doesn't pull the trigger.

In Real life, generally a thief would put the device immediately in his pocket after stealing most of the times.

it works with the proximity sensor, same one that blanks your screen when you put the phone next to your ear. This is a nice idea and should be fairly simple.

I do not think that the thief will then unlock the phone. Many do not even know how to do it

I hope this works in tandem w/ an unlock feature that uses a password to unlock the phone, otherwise, yeah, someone who knows about the program could easily disable it. Of course, for pick pocketing this is perfect, cuz it would alert you that the phone is out of your pocket. but for leaving it sitting on a desk, and going to the room next door, that might be a problem. of course, it's a free program, so you can't complain too much. very cool!
