  • This game was my childhood.

  • holy shit i finally found what i thought was forgotten. this was when AOL was soooo cool. only 56k was available. i can still remember the dial up tones. and chatrooms in AOL were so popular. this was also the time of the first windows and computers only had 250 mhz or not even. the nintendo era and the first gameboy. back in those days i played the first warcraft, mechwarrior, pitfall and that mouse game that was in the games list on the cpu.

  • Wow I'm surprised so much of this seems familiar to me, I was probably like 6 or 7 when I played this game.

  • I'm so glad I kept the disc for this game in good condition all these years. It may be an obsure computer game from the 90's but its priceless to me now. To this day, I still have NEVER beaten the game on furious difficulty.

  • my mom never let me buy this game when i was younger. now that i've seen this clip i'm PISSED OFF about it. this game would have been pretty sweet back then

  • This came with my first PC and it was one of the first things I fired up. Definitely brings back memories. At the time I thought it was so cool that the game could be installed on the hard drive so you could play your own music CD during gameplay.

  • oh i remember those double red firingshots you got. this game is actually really realistic... first person fast flying. with an open spaced level design.

  • Ahhh, memories... This was one of the only games i had as a kid...

  • The boss on Ares was definitely the hardest. The big spider thing.

  • you know, if i played this and added tf2 voices into recording, would that make me a bad person?

  • Oh man, they don't make games like this anymore... Dunno how old I was back then, but I still remember trying to beat the boss in Tiamat with my dad.

These (ancient) missile sfx really do bring back some memories..

  • hahaa fuck this is hardcore flashbacks to 1996

  • The only game I would buy if it was released today

  • I remember that the music of this game used to make me had nightmares...

  • Nowadays the level of detail that you see in this game can now be found on some J2ME games. My dad used to play the demo back when I was nine; it came bundled with a ream of Verbatim diskettes, and back then he was playing it for the high score.

  • This game was amazing. I remember playing it when i was about 4 years old and had a joystick. I was training to be a pilot since i was little thanks to this game.

  • Oh god, I played the shit out of this game. Good times.

  • God, I miss this game.

  • WOAH@!!!!!! one of best games i've ever played when i was young!

  • what did you use to record this?

  • Microsoft makes stuff all the time...their a huge deal with the xbox360 and xbox live

Microsoft needs to remake this FOR the the 360 even givei t online play tahtd be amazing i still have and play this game and ive been playing for 13 years (im 14)

best game ever!!!! i love it

  • One of the best 3D flight shooters ever made, it never gets old.

It's the simplicity of it what makes it such a masterpiece, it challenges eye-hand coordination, mind-body coordination, fast reaction time, and comprehensive thinking on a level that modern games don't.

  • OMG CHILDHOOD IN A FUCKIN NUTSHELL

  • fuckin amazing game for the time

  • God that takes me back. I was good at this game

  • thanks cybercat! :D

  • Wow. truly brings back the memories. ty

  • after 16 years I'm still looking for a way to watch all 24 Mission briefings and not only the ones that appear before Missions #1, but it seems that it's all about luck. However I remember you could see all 9 briefings in F! Zone, though I'm not sure about it. I've tried everything including destroying ALL killable targets but it does not seem to work.

  • @Abbastraea there usually isnt briefings before every mission. Only before the first mission. You can also cheat to see all of the 8 briefings by typing WORMIT# in game, where # is the planet number you want to see the briefing of.

  • If only we had space craft like this one in the military.

  • Is anyone else thinking "Escape from the Death Star II" scene from "Return of the Jedi" from about 7:45-8:40?

  • lol only thing i remember of this game is how bad was the anti-matter gun :P wich was 4 or 5

  • NOSTALGIAAAAAA

  • ahhhh i played this when i was like 6 good times i remember the music and i always blew up the buildings im 15 now

  • My favourite old DOS game. If only I could find a way to play it on XP! I can't find the disk either =(

  • huh, kinda sounded like they borrowed the TIE Fighter Engine noise

  • ahh back in the days when this was the only thing my computer could run LOL

  • used to think this game was the shit

  • yes!! i still have the disc lying around somewhere.

  • The soundtrack is singularly outstanding. Especially Sebek

  • TURBOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Thanks for saving the universe CyberCat! xD

  • HOLY SHIT the graphics are so REAL!

And this new "Sidewinder" joystick is like flying a REAL PLANE!

  • Even by today's standards, those dogfights look pretty damned cool. I mean what other game back then let you do loop-the-loops and fly upside down? Playing this game was truly wonderful.

  • I LOVED this game back on my win95 pc. So many memories of rainy sunday afternoons and Fury3 with my good ol joystick!

  • Oh man i still got this game on disc for windows 95!!!!

  • I bought this really good good pack 14 years ago it had fury 3, publisher 95, windows 95 plus and Encarta 95

  • definitely a classic? It''s a copy of Terminal Velocity. The only advantage it had was that it could run under Win95.

  • I played this when i was little!! like 5...i loved it!

  • did you know if you put the game disc in a normal cd player you can listen to some of the music in the game? : D

  • Which OS was this because it wasn't 3.1

  • i hate this game

  • So many memories coming back when i see this. I used to play this when i was like 8 years old. Kinda makes me wanna play that game again.

  • THis game was sooo fucking sick

    Man this takes me back.

  • this was my first game, I cleared it when I was 7, I think. Fuck yeah, Microsoft Sidewinder 3D pro joystick~!

  • I forgot how awesome this game was. Like Stargate on steroids. The music was great too. Sci-fi industrial kind of theme.

  • Man this was a great game. Too bad all I ever had was the trial version (it came with Windows 95; the only level you could play was Sebek). Wonder if there's some way I could get it to play on a Windows 7...

  • @dudestr5552 Although this game was made for Windows 3.1, It actually for some reason runs on 64 bit windows. Most 16-bit games for 3.1 don't work on 64 bit OS's but this one does, probably because it uses Win32.

  • @dudestr5552 Use Windows 95 compatability mode. I'm pretty sure my version works that way without needing to use dosbox.

  • To play this game on current windows playforms, you need to use a program called DOSBox (it is a DOS emulator).

  • the sound of those surface-to-air missles launching takes me right back to 4th grade...spring 1997...oh my god...thanks for posting this

  • @generfeld HA! Same here, I remember a couple friends and I installed this on one of the new library computers in my school when I was a kid. The librarian busted us and we wound up with detention. Good times.

  • Aww, this brings back some excellent memories... I used to play this nonstop as a kid. It came free when we bought our Windows 95 computer--now that I think about it, it must have been brand-spanking new at the time! Anyway, it was such a great game. Newer games with flying in them need to take a cue from this game. Flight was so much fun! You could do anything and go anywhere and everything exploded! :D

Also, I just realized what the acronym for Bion Fury Missiles probably also stands for...

  • a game i enjoyed very much in my child hood

  • definitely a classic and underrated game, its simple aim and shoot at everything and interesting music is what makes it so long lasting

the contents of the "underground" caves and boss chambers are stored near the middle of the map (near square 128,128) so go there and raid those "caverns" or destroy the boss shield generators without flying in a confined space and come back through the tunnels to see those caves are already raided

  • Really! I actually discovered this once but I didn't make the connection. I just thought it was some super-secret area. That's neat though, I'll have to look for them next time I play.

  • I still have this game. I play it every once in a while.

  • Damn I loved this game, great gameplay and awesome music.

When I got my first PC (Pentium 166MHz, damn that's old) they bundled this game along with a Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro joystick. 14 years later it still works.

  • this is making me tear up a little... i loved this game!!!!!

  • Brings back memories sitting at my PC when I was like 6 or 7, rockin Windows 95 and a 256 megahertz processor! Top of the Line! Soundtrack was sweet too like everyone said

  • i nostalgia'd hard

  • One of the games I grew up with :')

    Awesome music!

  • It was always an argument with my friends weather this or terminal velocity was a better game.

  • soundtrack was amazing just like the game, i loved it.

  • i love this game. but it is hard for me to set up the joystick

  • classic game

  • whoa!! ..this harks me back 12 years!!! .. I really wish this game ran on Vista - i still have the CD from 1997 when I got it.

  • it does run on Vista, I've been playing it all this week

  • it does????? Gee im installin it straightaway!!! ..thanks

  • i have vista and i can play it

  • I should get this game one day...

I always hated the 7th boss.

  • I remember having a demo on a Verbatim demo CD, along with other microsoft stuff

  • This game was really fun to play!

    Brings so many memories back!

  • Best Microsoft Game Ever

  • OMG MEMORIES!!! i wanna grab this game and install it, but i dont think modern day comps will run it! :(

  • I run this game on Windows XP and Vista. The only problem is that it won't go full-screen anymore, only maximized.

  • I never liked this one. I went for Deadly Tide, it had way better graphics. (Because it was pre-rendered 3D)

  • Does anyone remember the video promo vid found on the windows 95 CD? If I recall, it had some pretty cool music.

  • I have got this video game originally!

  • WHERE CAN I GET THIS GAME???

I've been looking for this forever!

The best old 3D space shooter EVER!

  • @KingCold999 Here is the download link for fury 3

  • @KingCold999 check my channel comment MSJack12345678910 i can't send you the download link because a error comes up

    be friends

  • @KingCold999 It's very repetitive.

  • @KingCold999 yeah good times

    is it ye fave game?

my fave is the half life series specialy hl 1

  • I still play this game, and I played it when it was new..

  • this feeling... beyond 10 years... ;__; makes me baww, this came with our packard bell, along with descent ;_; oh gawd

  • I so want to download this and play it again..i haven't played this since i was little

  • <3333333333333

  • ollllld skooool

well wanna play this again now haha. jokes game

  • GAHH NOSTALGIAAAAA

  • i loved the soundtrack for this game. the intro music should have been done with a live orchsetra

  • This was always one of my fave games. I still have the full version, and it loads on Vista, but it doesn't recognize my joystick, which sux. And you can't really play using the keyboard, so it sits in its cd case, perhaps for good...very sad....

I agree that Microsoft should either re-release this, maybe with updated graphics (unlikely), or release a patch to enable full gameplay on XP & Vista (possible). How good would that be!!

  • Man I wish i could get hold of the f-zone expansion pack for fury3

  • this way my first pc game, it came in the computer bundle with microsoft sidewinder.

  • *was

  • man, i miss this game!

  • I have this game. My mother got it in a software bundle back in 95 when she got out first home PC. I still play it from time to time.

  • with old games like this, how hard would it be to move the "fog" view limit away more? is it set by 1 number location in the code?

  • I started playing this game when I was five years old. I am now seventeen and I still play this game.

  • Thank you for posting this video that game look like fun

  • epic, im gonna boot my old win95 up to play this game

  • i play this game on window xp pro only I have the demo version

  • I have full version

  • this game has excellent level design when i look back it. So much variety and freedom to do whatever you please! go into those missile silos.. the moon.. deserts.. the valey mission... or even above everything and to top it off you have turbo!! Does anyone remember a game similar to this but it was set in water. It was pretty cool too but nowhere close to this for its time.

  • it wasnt deadly tide. I just a video of it. I remember in the game you would spend mmost of your time skimming above water and you could dive for short periods. any help is appreciated. Cheers

  • This game always has great background music

  • agreed.

anyway, who knows where can i download this game ? :D

  • This reminds me a lot of "Terminal Velocity." Terminal Velocity, only faster (only because I know more of Terminal Velocity than Fury 3. Even some of same lettering as Terminal Velocity when powerups are received.

  • I have full version.

  • can u upload it :]

  • If someone born 1980 thru 1983 I'll give you

    full version.

  • Do you know where can I download the full game???

  • This game has such a killer soundtrack. I still remember almost all of the BGMs to this day.

  • the fury3 ship is the most awesome looking ship i've ever seen.

there is no other ship like it.

  • Yeah Doombringer (that's the name) looks totally badass. Hellbender couldn't even come close.

  • i've played this game a long time ago., i guess 10 years ago.., even though, it would be great to have a new vertion for Vista.

  • Such a fun game, simple "blow everything up" type game.

  • Graphic are like PS1

  • thats because the game was in 32-bit.

  • That must be the most elaborate take off ever...

  • love this game since 9 y/o

but now i realize intro is like shit but gameplay is so cool even now lol

  • tru that haha

  • Yeah looking back that launch mechanism is a bit too alaborate

  • This game was a ripoff of Terminal Velocity but it had some great music and gameplay anyway.

  • how can it be a ripoff, the creators were the same rofl

or have you never heard of multiple games borrowing from a single engine before

  • i remember the names of most of the levels.. terrain,L-24D(i think),ares, new kroy, sebek, (cant remember the astroids name), tiamat, and fury

  • The music in this game was great

  • Amazingly, this game runs on Vista. Can't access the help file because Vista doesn't support 95 help files any more. Other than that, works just fine.

  • I still have the CD for this game that i got when I was about 4 or 5. I tried to install it a few day's ago but i guess the CD was so fucked up that the computer couldnt handle it, I was kind of disapointed

  • get a disc buffer, as long as the film (the picture on top of the cd) is fine, the cd is repairable

  • Yeah I used to have one but then we moved to Wy, and it got crushed in the move, i've been looking for a new one but no luck yet

  • looks like doom 3

  • Man... When i was between like 3 and 6 I used to play this game almost daily.. and I never got bored... one bit.. it has gotta be one of my favourite games of all time... what I wouldn't give to have this game again.. =]

btw.. The intro video's theme reminds me a LOT of Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream...

  • Monster truck madness did that for me.

  • Best Game Ever For The Win 95.

  • Meeeh, I thought Dark Forces was pretty cool too at that time :-)

  • ho shit, dark forces was awesome!

  • I have the game I Have the game xD

  • This game was so intense.

Can you tell me how to get this game nowadays? Please?!

  • Look on eBay! Probably the best place to get it anymore.

  • @ilovemarianow i have got on a disk which was bought 14 years it is Fury 3 you could buy it right but that's not at the shops maybe at garage sales or stuff like that

  • I used to have the demo to this on first pc it had a pentium 1 200mhz ah the old days

  • ohh those cinematics can be processed in real-time today and even better! technology has reached very high places since 95'...

  • THis GAme is so cool it's almost Halo except always in air and slient nature. But both Fury3 and Halo are kick butt games.

  • When I was little, our computer had a demo of this game. You had to play of Sebek. One time, I found one of the tunnels, which was colored red. Up until the point where I could read, I always referred to this game as the "Red Door Game".

  • I just have played this game (and finished yesterday) it to listen to the awesome soundtrack it has... sadly it was a shareware and I didn't see the cutscenes... so I bet I missed part of the plot :(

  • I played this game when I was a child on my Pentium MMX. I just want to say that the opening sequence has an excellent music.

  • This reminds me more of Terminal Velocity. Not the movie of course. XP

  • i wanna get a soundtrack for this...

  • I've got it :D

  • If you have the original game, open FURY3.pod in the SYSTEM folder with 'Dragon UnPACKer 5', and look under the 'music' section. You should be able to find all the .mod files there. You can open these with ModTracker, and export them to .mp3. There's even one that I have never personally heard ingame. The menu theme is in the STARTUP.pod. Good luck, chancellor.

  • thanks man

  • Damnit! It works! These modules "blow up so nicely!"

Thank you a lot, man, I always wanted these :D

  • i have gotta be the youngest old school gamer ever

  • I was three when I played it!

  • that shot was wack that is not fury3 they did not even make a fury2

  • It's supposed to be Fury to the third power, not Fury three.

  • You guys do realize this was a terminal velocity knockoff just not as polished with horrible draw distance?

  • but with more terrains, action, and it had to have worse draw distance because of Windows 95 and Direct X system requireme3nts

  • I remember this game from when I was 3, too...

The musical sequence from 8:05 to 8:20 awes me. Hell of a 15-second clip.

  • fury 3 my fav game frm the old dayz!! can never forgot this game, i wish i could get it bak :(

  • I know...

  • I miss this game.

  • Microsoft has always loved making action-based flight simulators, haven't they?

  • this game was awesome!!! i remember the old days where i used to play the whole day Fury!

  • love this fucking game. though, most of the times, I am clueless on what the objectives are. Classics man, classics!

  • Seeing the intro vid almost brought tears to my eyes, it's been so long since I've played this. The game pace was, eh, a bit more leisurely than this on our 486DX-33, luckily it ran a lot faster when I got a Pentium 166. =) O gawd, I've tried *hard* to forget the eye-bleeding textures and colliding to the corridor walls in that boss fight!

  • Holy crap, I remember this game from when I was 3. (Born in '92) I played it all the time on our new computer and I had so much fun with it. I haven't played it in over 11 years, this video is like a trip back in time for me, the music i even remember.

Thanks for uploading man, this is awesome.

  • I like to crank up the volume and fly low with turbo thrust across the mountains, specially in Terran and L-24D.

  • Anyone notice a similarity between the opening of this game and Halo?

  • what would that be? besides the fact that they both help to make bill gates even richer

  • Yeah that was exactly what I was thinking

They should make a new one for the xbox 360 or at least port this to the xbox live arcade.
