I watch Countdown on average four times a week so I can objectively criticize him based on first-hand account as opposed to heresy. The video was shown to frighten voters that if they voted for Obama, it would make them responsible for a similar tragedy in the future. My biggest fear now is not another attack occuring, but should another attack occur sometime in the next 4 years, Republicans will not hesitate to blame voters for electing Obama instead of McCain.

Information concerning meetings between operatives planning the 9/11 attacks was not shared between the CIA and FBI and little relevance was given to some of the information gathered. Al Qaeda was relatively unknown and not on the radar as a serious terrorist organization.
Had the voice of John O'Neil, an FBI agent killed during 9/11, been heard, 9/11 may never have happened.

I watch Countdown on average four times a week so I can objectively criticize him based on first-hand account as opposed to heresy. The problem with Olbermann is his nightly agenda of bashing anything right-wing, conservative, or Republican is so extreme and over-the-top that any legitimate criticism comes across as mere white noise.

There's always going to be the risk of terrorist attacks regardless of who the president is and which party he (or she should we ever have a female president) belongs to. I did not hear that he got demoted. I believe he made an inspiring comment, and can understand him being upset that the GOP has used that tragedy to scare voters. It disrespects those who died in the tragedy, and Mr. Olbermann did lose some friends in it. I am glad that the American people didn't give into GOP scare tactics when they elected Obama last Fall. Besides, as of now Obama is now further along into his presidency than Bush was when 9/11 occured.

I agree with Oblermann. It is sick for the Republican Party to use such a morbid thing as a way of campaigning. The video was shown to frighten voters that if they voted for Obama, it would make them responsible for a similar tragedy in the future. My biggest fear now is not another attack occuring, but should another attack occur sometime in the next 4 years, Republicans will not hesitate to blame voters for electing Obama instead of McCain.

Olbermann's a joke. 9/11 happened - it is part of our history. It was the direct result of a completely uninterested Clinton administration that wanted to focus entirely on padding Bill's reputation. Bin Laden attacked US citizens a half a dozen times when Clinton was in charge with no retaliation. This emboldened Bin Laden and encouraged him to attack NYC. George Bush, acted to protect us by taking the fight to the harboring state and financial backing state: Afghanistan and Iraq, respectively.

9/11 happened due to a lack of communication between the CIA and the FBI.
Information concerning meetings between operatives planning the 9/11 attacks was not shared between the CIA and FBI and little relevance was given to some of the information gathered. Al Qaeda was relatively unknown and not on the radar as a serious terrorist organization.
Had the voice of John O'Neil, an FBI agent killed during 9/11, been heard, 9/11 may never have happened.

Look at Obamas' voting record if you think there will be ANY change at all. Ad naseum throwing around the word change means nothing. Change is just a word that means nothing unless you challenge the status quo and are willing to sacrifice to uphold that position. Obama has not once in senate challenged the status quo. The Republicans aren't using this as a rally cry, they are using this as a reminder when an inexperienced Obama says he will sit down without pre-Conditions with other countries that pose a threat. No one speaks about how we haven't had another attack on our soil since.

Quite frankly Olbermann was absolutely right in criticising the use of 911 to sway votes. Sure, we must not forget, but then no candidate should prey on the memmories of the past such as 911 to sway one's vote. Why it is almost like using the thousands of American deaths in Iraq to prey on moms of teenage boys to vote for a Democrat.

May we make an educated decision come November 4th or when we turn in our absentee's. Do not vote Obama because he is black. Do not vote McCain because he is a war hero. Do not vote for McCain because he picked a woman running mate. Pick for the candidate that is fit to be president. Read the qualifications. Do not be swayed by rhetoric.
