  • KA-TCHUNK! I love this sound. <3

  • i thought about that when i was five

  • you mustve been a total nerd in hs, but your a genius. imma try and make this

  • That's a good solution. But with your saw, do you really need retractable wheels? The size of castor you need wouldn't be very high, and wouldn't make much difference to the table height. My Planer would need heavy-duty 5" high castors, A big difference to the working height. So I would need a base that has lockable castors on outriggers, so the planer is only an inch or so higher when it's on the base. It weighs some 700lbs, so lifting gear isn't really practical.

    Thanks for the vid.

  • this is a good idea

  • this invention is better than electricity..

  • mine had 2 big wheels on one end ,and the casters and bracket from a bed on the other end that has a bar to lift it off the floor....simple but useful.........yours is more maneuverable.

  • leaver?

  • A little bulky but your idea is spot on. I saw your mortice rig and commented there. You are a cut above, sorry for the pun. I just may improve my current Craftsman (factory accessory)individual leg system that I have ALWAYS hated. (it is better than nothing though)

  • Bob the builder?

  • well is nice but most of carpenters need to move from a job to other and like that it will take a lot of room

  • @traviesovago

Many "woodworkers" have a workshop with a table saw that doesn't travel from job to job. For those with a contractor type saw in their workshop (as opposed to the bigger and heavier cabinet types) this is a good idea.

  • Congratulations!!!

  • Nice job. All parts easily available

    Thanks for sharing.

  • who's a clever boy then??

  • Good Job!

  • One thing I have to say; though this is quite awesome, because wood is quite soft (in comparison to some metals and such) and easily compressed, don't you think that eventually the indentation at the top of the track's edge( that the ball bearings travel down) will wear down and the mobile base would not even work at all?

  • First video on his site that I have ever found useful, absolute genius, thanks.

  • ótima ideia!!!!!

  • where do you get so many cool ideas?

    amazing 5/5

  • ru a genius

  • @AirBl4d3 no,no like willy coyote--Suuuoopeer Genius

  • Five stars. Effective and simple. I wouldn't have thought of it. I probably would've come up w/ something more complicated, like linkages. After seeing this my complexity complex can't be held back. I'm thinking of trapping the bearings with an upper track parallel to the bottom ramp. They're not needed but would keep the castor/frame unit more tied to the saw base. Again, it's not needed at all, so, "As you were, soldier! Well done!"

  • awesome!

  • lol

  • sneaky!

  • Very nice!

  • Thank you for this great idea.

  • Very Nice!

  • Spiffy.

  • perfect for my old man

  • omg not

  • you are a genius!!!you shoud put your machine on e-bay...that's sound good..isn't it?

  • Can you move the lifter with your nose?

    Nice work :o)

  • Your work is fantastic, very inspiring and motivating.

  • I think its carpenter.

  • Great! Your good "woodcrafter"? is that a word? Nice saw lift.
