@2002And Yes, with good weather it is a nice little shopw, even if it's no longer as good as it was, as the fast RAF jets like the Tornado, Harrier and Jaguar no longer appear.. the last two for obvious reasons.. :0
They always do.. Probably my 3:rd favourite engine sound after the T6 Texan (2:nd) and the Spitfire / Mustang Merlin (1st).. Would love to build one at some point.. a Stearman, that is.. :)
Very very little.. most and mainly the name.. :) I think there are some slight variations in construction, canopy and other parts.. but not an awful lot..
This year I did.. the weather was foul most of the time.. and with one cancellation after the other, and always the planes I wanted to see the most! Then when I left (early) to catch the train home an unannounced Mustang turned up and did a beautiful display.. which I mised the most of and never got on camera.. but hey, maybe next year.. (Last year I took BOTH days off work, but couldn't go because I got a stomach bug.. this year my son was / is ill.. )
I used to do that in my younger days...we would walk from one end to the other and exchange places on the other airplane (har har), and yeah, we'd do ballet bits up there as well, even took to doing it wihout airplanes but the Boeing types put an end to that.... lol :)
That is some sweet flying! I have started playing a new table top game called wings of war and they have a bi and tri-plane WWI version, this was cool to see!
Nice - looks like it was a very, very good show and display :) Wicked music by the way :)
