hello, am new to VHF radios. just want to ask how long is the range of communication in kms or miles of this radio? specifically from handheld to handheld radio. thanks
Just wondering how easy it is to set up the UK repeater shift on this radio? Audio sounds good in the video. Have you had any audio reports while using the set? Some of the local Chinese 2m handies here seem to have a barely audiable whine in their transmissions. As I say, barely audiable but it's there nonetheless.
Knocks spots off my Yaesu VX-8. RF sensitivity is much better. Battery life twice as good. Audio is better. This rig is much more fun. Yaesu beware - the chinese are coming !
i bought one of those radios last year, for about 110.00 us dollars with shipping incluide, i think is a good price for the radio because it have a lot of features and all of them works, now 6 months later still working real good, looks that the radio became popular because the price now is between 118.00 us to 135.00 us dollars shipping not incluide
Show me another HH rig for approx. $100 CAD.that gets a 5/5 eham rating. The *1P has evidently redeemed itself from its predecessor in spades. Thanks for the video.
Hi Simon, great vid very informative. A fellow Ham in my town is selling his kg-uvd,so i'm getting that tonight! Another radio Ha ha!! Simon why dont you start to review older 2nd hand rigs to show what bargains are out there and what too watch for, pros and cons etc. Just a thought! 73's
whats the diff between the kgudv and the uv3d?
