the problem with the broznan bonds was that the producers tried to make each one better with more special effects, increasingly silly gadgets, and more outlandish super villians. but sometimes ''less'' is more. however i don't like the new films too much, they just feel like a rival to the jason bourne series.

Brosnan is my favorite Bond. He's the Bond I grew up watching in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and TWINE. Brosnan was perfect for the role.

@ vince4ever How could you possibly fall asleep during Casino Royale? It is really great action film; probably the best interpretation of Bond, the best cast and the best storyline... Bond has to move into the future, he can't stay rooted in the Cold War, drinking martini's and fighting comic book villains..

the introduction of other celebs like halle berry and madonna are what killed the brosnan run in my opinion (although i did like madonnas theme) but Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies I think are true jems in the series which i believe are severely underrated by most bond fans. And although brosnans last two films are arguably some of the worst in the entire series it is NOT due to anything on brosnans behalf.

I know, Die Another Day has many haters but I found it really not bad. Yes, the storyline and visual effects looked too unrealistic but this is "New Era" Bond movie which shows new technological progress. Pierce Brosnan was great though. Toby Stephens was great villain too. I love Halle Berry but she wasn't that good. Rosamund Pike was OK.

I adore Madonna's theme song - really unique and memorable!!! She should have had more screen time in this movie.

Sometimes that's what makes Bond movies good. If you're able to laugh at how stupid the characters are... It's not as bad as seeing how they don't seem anything like Bond characters such as in Daniel Craig's movies. James Bond movies aren't supposed to be taken seriously...

Best looking Bond, but Connery and Craig have more on screen charisma. They are just a little more badass than Pierce was. Pierce is the 3rd best Bond after Connery and Craig. Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton were horribly miscast as Bond.

Speaking for myself I loved DIE ANOTHER DAY, it had believable characters, a sexy Bond girl, inspiration and references to all of the past Bond films, and a complex plot you could actually follow. Far better than that sucky CASINO ROYALE!
