oh nevermind, there's already a ripped soundtrack here: splatterhouse.kontek .net/music.html (just rejoin the url together. y'know how youtube is retarded with urls in comments)
If you are interested, I could rip the music of the original arcade version of splatterhouse for you. I've did it before, but I've lost the tracks ever since.
The one part of the game that i always remember is when your holding the jennifer (After you just beat her) and she disintegrates. Really sad with this music
@evilmidget LOL, this happens in youtube, you post a comment almost a year ago, a guy sees it 4 minutes ago, he replies, and you think "what is he talking about".
It's just that when I saw SH compared to Dragon's Lair, I went "what", but I see your point.
This game (and Splatterhouse 2) also has elements of House and House 2: The Second Story. Some of the music reminds me of Gyruss and some of it reminds me of Megaman.
i just want to say, that first song is very similar to the song 'Yasashii Kiss o Shite' from some japanese tv-serial. its composer maybe was kinda fan of splatterhouse you know.
where can i find music from this game that i can download? 1:26 is awesome as well as the 1st stage boss music 2:40 i think. (i remember playing this on my turbografx 16.
yea 2:40 is the best but everyone is good i rem playing this so long ago :P it was eerie then and its still kinda eerie. I'll give a shout out to the level 3 boss Da Chainsaw wtfever it is. lol.
There's a link to a website with the soundtrack in that video. The site has everything you need to play the tunes, if you want to rip them, then use WinAmp or something like that.
Hmm maybe its because its the TG16 version but I remember the music a lot differently. I played the arcade and I think the genesis version and it seemed creepier. I'm also willing to accept that it could be just me.
Unless Gamefaqs is mistaken, I don't think the first Splatterhouse ever came out for Genesis. Parts 2 and 3 did, and those did indeed have better music. Being thorough and all that, I'll get to those eventually.
this game HIGHLY borrowed from Kung Fu; part of the reason i loved it so much.

Ha. Totally forgot the name of this game. I always remembered the soundtrack, and just saw a video on the PS store, that had clips of this game.
This has got a really weird sound in it I can't find anywhere, I'm pretty sure it's in an old Eminem song.

This game is more or less a simulation of what Jason does in his spare time.

What? Save his loved ones from monsters & deamons?
Axemunger 2 years ago 14
@BLARGHALT Not really. Jason just kills everyone the disturbs his grave at Camp Crystal Lake.

the music is extraordinary, it is so moody and changes a lot. I here a lot of bach in it, crazy scales. I love it.

Evil Dead, Dead by Dawn, Poltergeist, The Deadly Spawn. With that recipe, you can't go wrong. But let's not forget you're the Terror Mask's pawn.

You know the music is very nice and peppy despite housing some of the grossest 2-D monstrosities ever in a video game. XD
