I wouldn't describe this game as a grind, though I guess it technically is. But, the way the game encourages you to gain experience is through parties, where each battle is supposed to feel like a challenge since you are fighting enemies of a higher level one at a time. It's much too social of a game to be considered a traditional grind, I really think.

When I think of a grind, I think of running around by yourself, killing as much as you can as fast as you can. And this isn't close to that.

I use to play FFXI, but the economy was too screwed up to do much of anything, and the game mechanics weren't my favorite. But I had fun on my Samurai.

The economy have evened out and isnt screwed up at all, for example items like SH and Hauby are only like 200~400k useally there are only a few items that still remain over 1mil gil.

WHM sub is good for soloing spiders as NIN. Their poison is brutal and goes through shadows, but more importantly Spider Web overwrites Haste and is a very powerful slow that can slow down Utsusemi recast pretty drastically, so Erase is good to have handy.

You get shadows to take hits for you, which makes it an

over-rated subjob...

You get some stealth skills ...

You get elemental weakness skills.

Oh and the even-more-overrated dual wielding.

You can't be to poor to lvl nin, all you gotta buy is shihei which isnt that much, there is more gear for EVA for NIN then just SH, you can use AF body and u dont need the EMP

They forgot to mention /rdm, it offers healing, fast cast to keep those shadows up, and most importantly dispel for those annoying mob buffs. Even though you'll be using a sub skill dispel doesn't get resisted much.

One thing I notice you did not think about is Red mage sub job. I use it quite offten becuse it adds to the strenghts of the weapon skill modifiers. Along with fast cast and some surivablity threw even spred stats and Cure / Support magic. Not to emention who dose not like the 5% extra DGM when using a element weapon skill whith the corrisponding En Spell on top of it.

I just ordered the game with a USB keyboard for 360. I hope it's worth it. None of the EB games stores have the game anymore. That's pretty good cus the game got 6.9 rating and lots of people bought it. I don't really believe in reviews anymore though because they always look for something revolutionary.

A Ninja has no A+ skills, unlike most other jobs wich have 1 or max. 2 A+ skills a ninja has !!5!! A skills but all are A- (throwing, ninjutsu, katana (kinda dumb, only ninjas can use this sort of a weapon, should be A+) evasion and parry). Nice video btw. Asura Server here, NIN 75, MNK 75, PLD 74 ,RDM 67 and COR 65 playing since 3 years, NIN was my very 1st job maxed out (when i changed servers, had a mithra before on Sylph..). (funny though, my character looks the same like in the video ^^)

i find NIN very useful as a SJ for BST at lvl 20, go to qufim island get a WHM and kill them Worms like theres no tomorrow lol. i did it and got 300-350xp a shot, no band. very worthwhile
