Question, if you don't mind: when i did my new clutch installation, the pilot bearings were totally gone, but the retainer or race was still there. This made me question the integrity of the bearing all together. Like how the heck is it going to last without lubrication? I installed a brass bushing saturated with oil instead of a pilot bearing. Do you or anyone else know which is better, the bushing or the bearing? I really don't know. 50k miles so far and no problems.. yet.
