@LadyArielleNYC declawing cats is illegal in most civilized places. the USA is one of the few places where it's legal, and it's not legal over the entire country. It's basically amputation, is extremely painful, and far too many cats never fully recover... Some even end up paralyzed from infection, or worse die. Please don't suggest such things.

As a solution for my computer and monitor becoming a very expensive kitty toy, I finally hooked up an old PC specifically for my darn cats. Now we each have are own and life is good. =)

Yeah, my fingernails make that noise too, but it doesn't scratch the screen. Duh! Well trimmed nails are no more scratchy than a Popsicle stick.
