I love his singing of the hymns I listened to them as a kid my grandma has his record and if any body has him singing my Jesus as thou wilt please tell me about the video have song on record but want that song on iPod thx
my momma played his LP in our house incessantly when I was a baby until the LP wore out. had a deeply rooted effect on my entire life. those old hymns are ingrained in my heart.. and so is the voice of TEF.. to this day (and I am a professional musician and singer) I consider his the most beautiful voice this side of heaven.
Tennessee Ernie Ford....ahhhhhhhhh how bless we are to hear all of his beautiful songs...No other can fill his spirit with such songs....I listened to him as a child with my dad who always wanted him to sing at his funeral....of course that was impossible but what joy he gave to our family....thank you for posting...
I am not religious but I feel something spiritual listening to this voice

Reminds me of evenings spent at Grandma's house. She and Ernie both live in Heaven now! Thanks for the memories.

One of the most humble men you would ever want to meet. What a voice!!! I'll get to sing with him someday on the other side.

I remember when most all of the variety show closed with a hymn. This was back in the 50's when people didn't worry about being politically correct.

Sings from the heart, not the pocket book. He was one of the best all around hymnal singers. Thanks for bringing him back to us.
