jennygar if you mean temporary personalities that have a singular function and then cease to exist, I haven't heard of that exactly, but some personalities may do a certain job and then take a more back-seat position.They remain part of the person, but hang out in the background rather than an up front day to day persona. Some even grow older and take on different responsibilites. The brain is amazingly complex.

Some people have over 200. Truddi Chase has 92. They can not integrate because the core personality died. ..and split into two potential halves. They rely on cooperation of many rather than integration into one.
