@melmel9815 Because some of us have for example an swedish speakink mother and a finnish speaking father, so we speak both languages, but thera are some who only have finnish or swedish speaking parents : )
@melmel9815 I don't really think that Finns actually speaks Swedish and Finnish. Most of us actually don't and most of us speaks just Finnish. Here are still many people who speaks Swedish. But it isn't just about that. It's in Finlands history. I don't remember centories but there was a time when Finland was part of Sweden and even after that Swedish was our official language even that most of Finns spoke Finnish. Later Finnish came official language but Swedish stayd official too. :)
@Gyroglle and actually neither "kanssa mun" nor "kanssa minun" is right either... Or it's right, but no one says like that, since it's more like the poetric way to say it. The correct version would be "minun kanssani" (or "mun kanssa" when spoken). :D
1:22 lyrics say "saanko" but it sounds more like saan :| i have been wondering that myself it doesn't make sense if you take that "ko" outta there... now i'm confused :D
Vaikka en häntä nää, sydäntäin hän lämmittää -kohdassa englanninkielisessä käännöksessä on 'her' ja 'she'. Eikö Simba muistelekaan isäänsä tässä kohdassa? : o
That said, I like the sentiment of this song MUCH better than the english one. Particularly at 2:49, where Simba reassures her that she will always be herself no matter what part she plays in the pride. That's so different from the english version, where he says, "As long as you live here, it's who you are." Not very reassuring words for a daughter who's worried she can't be herself! This version is a loving, reassuring song from father to daughter.
well... dont kill me now, but i think this verson was a bit.... off... the original version. "Connected with me you are always" or as the original " We are more than you see. We are one"?
The original talks on a wider scale than the finnish. Like ALL the animals are one instead of just Simba and Kaira.
Although your languish are beutifull your versoin could be better. Peace out from the nation with the best simba (and worst young Kaira) ever!
I think that it's quite hard to get the same meaning in the Finnish version as in the original. You should realize that the languages are very different, and Finnish words are often too long to fit in the mouths of the characters. I think they've done a good job with the Finnish version of the Lion King.
We have done English, Icelandic, Japanese and started with French on 4 songs, but we also did Finnish on one of them and will do all four in Finnish along with Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. We thought it was a lovely language! We like the sound of it =)
Of all those languages Finnish is the only one we don't understand though, lol!
I think that is why we like it. It sounds nice, is easy to repeat, and even though we are able to sing it we don't understand a word =P
And it has nothing to do with German or Spanish because Finnish belongs to Finno-Ugric language family (with Hungarian and Estonian). German and Spanish belong to the Indo-European language family.

"even though I can't see him, he is warming up my heart", so in that part simba is singing about his father, not his daughter..

Thank you! You explained it very well! Even so, it's kind of confusing because the word seems to be thrown in randomly, and the listener just has to assume that Simba's talking about his father. Since Finnish words are so long, I guess it's just hard to pack the same meaning into these songs.
ur welcome!hmm.. when using hän word the listener usually knows what is the meaning of it in the sentence,is it she or he.i'll give an example: D

I've been begging Rosetta Stone to make a Finnish package, so far unsuccessful. I'm moving to Finland in 5 years and learning Finnish would help a little.
I recently listened to this song on some other languages but still I don't think that any of them could beat the finnish version. I just love i SO much!!
Käännös on joiltain kohdilta aika perseestä. Vaikka käännätkin suoraan suomennoksesta enkuks, lauseita ei silti käännetä SUORAAN. Esim. tuolla menee sanajärjestykset ihan päin sitä itseään joissain kohdissa. Suoraan ei voi kääntää, vaan pitää miettiä miten lause sanotaan oikeassa sanajärjestyksessä siinä kielessä mille lauseet halutaan kääntää. Tästähän on koulussakin jankutettu vaikka kuinka kauan! :O
hehe i don't want to be mean but the english trenslation is not what they really say in english it's when kiara at the water she said "Can I still just be me the way I am" instead of "Will i every be able to be just me" well it is a great trenslation from finnish to enlgish but it isnt right whith the monky's it sayd"Family Family we are one" instead of "With me you're always" well i hope uhm that i didn't hurted you but i saw the trenslation and i didn;t undertand anything about it
You're right! But you see, the Finnish lyrics are indeed quite different from the English (original) ones, and thus the translation is different, too. So the English lyrics you see in this video are actually straight translations to the Finnish words so people could understand what they sing about. Not the real English lyrics. I hope I wasn't too unclear :)
Tää on nin kaunis leffa! Ootteko muute miettiny tän biisin sen aivan loppukohtauksen kautta mitä tää leijonakuningas 2 yrittää tavallaan opettaa? Tasa-arvoa! Kaikke me ollaan yhtä tasa-arvoisia oltiin minkälaisia tahansa.
Thank you for friendly words, I hope all the swedes are not as childish as you are...I know you aren't,some of you are good fellows(: it's a shame that some of you just aren't old enough...
Nehän on taivaantähen kissa eläimiä!
"Kissaeläimet jaetaan kahteen pääryhmään kurkunpäässä olevan, pienten hyoidiluiden muodostaman hyoidikaaren rakenteen perusteella.
1. Lajit, joiden hyoidikaari on vain osaksi luutunut ja osaksi jänteinen; tällainen rakenne antaa kurkunpäälle runsaasti liikkumavaraa. Ryhmä muodostuu Pantherinae-alaheimosta, jonka edustajat (mm. tiikeri, leopardi eli pantteri, leijona ja jaguaari) karjuvat, mutta eivät kehrää.

umm ya will you really need to get proper lyrics. this version is just funny with the ones you have now. but i do love listening to songs in different languages.
Well, the lyrics are what they are, and they can't be changed. I've tried to translate them the best I can, but there's no doubt of that they may be a little funny at some parts.
Suomen kieliset äänet on tosi hyvät, Kiaran ääni varsinkin <3<3
I'm from Sweden.

I recently listened to this song on some other languages but still I don't think that any of them could beat the finnish version. I just love i SO much!!

Gentleman jessus. It crossed the expectations. Really. Quite powerful!
Finnish is a really beautiful language. However, it is a horribly difficult language aswell.

Hah, would be nice to know what finnish sounds like for other people..:)

Hyvin tää on käännetty, shh :)
Ruutiperse 3 years ago 2
Käännös on joiltain kohdilta aika perseestä. Vaikka käännätkin suoraan suomennoksesta enkuks, lauseita ei silti käännetä SUORAAN. Esim. tuolla menee sanajärjestykset ihan päin sitä itseään joissain kohdissa. Suoraan ei voi kääntää, vaan pitää miettiä miten lause sanotaan oikeassa sanajärjestyksessä siinä kielessä mille lauseet halutaan kääntää. Tästähän on koulussakin jankutettu vaikka kuinka kauan! :O
touhotuz 3 years ago
Mutta kääntäjä ei ilmeisesti ole suomalainen ;)

1:40 Simbahan laulaa Mufasasta, joten sen pitäisi olla His, ei her. Anteeksi ppilkunviilauksestani ;)

hehe i don't want to be mean but the english trenslation is not what they really say in english it's when kiara at the water she said "Can I still just be me the way I am" instead of "Will i every be able to be just me" well it is a great trenslation from finnish to enlgish but it isnt right whith the monky's it sayd"Family Family we are one" instead of "With me you're always" well i hope uhm that i didn't hurted you but i saw the trenslation and i didn;t undertand anything about it
JustForZacAndVanessa 3 years ago
You're right! But you see, the Finnish lyrics are indeed quite different from the English (original) ones, and thus the translation is different, too. So the English lyrics you see in this video are actually straight translations to the Finnish words so people could understand what they sing about. Not the real English lyrics. I hope I wasn't too unclear :)
zimbalore 3 years ago
oh yeah!!! now I understand thx :):)

The lyrics is never the same when it isn't the original English song :S That's why there is a translation..

Finnish is beautiful language, but i've been told it's hellishly difficult to learn if you're not scandinavian... so i think i'll pass
I really wish i could go to Helsinki someday :)
unimexjose 3 years ago
Not even for scandinavian. Swedish, Danish... are germanic languages, but Finnish is Finno Ugrig. Like estonian and hungarian
ManironFi89 3 years ago 4
Thank you ^^ Teachers at school teach us that others think Finnish sounds agressive and rough... They're wrong i guess.

Just because you are from norway you don't have to tell us that you think this version is bad..
If you don't like it don't listen to it.
(I was going to curse alot in this comment but I realized I would only sink down to your level..)

The finnish kiara is without doubt the best (cutest :3) one in my oppinion.
Once again zt3fan, Thank you very much for translating and uploading movies.

Nehän on taivaantähen kissa eläimiä!
Crohndude 3 years ago
"Kissaeläimet jaetaan kahteen pääryhmään kurkunpäässä olevan, pienten hyoidiluiden muodostaman hyoidikaaren rakenteen perusteella.
1. Lajit, joiden hyoidikaari on vain osaksi luutunut ja osaksi jänteinen; tällainen rakenne antaa kurkunpäälle runsaasti liikkumavaraa. Ryhmä muodostuu Pantherinae-alaheimosta, jonka edustajat (mm. tiikeri, leopardi eli pantteri, leijona ja jaguaari) karjuvat, mutta eivät kehrää.
Saaaarraa 3 years ago

umm ya will you really need to get proper lyrics. this version is just funny with the ones you have now. but i do love listening to songs in different languages.
Damdiea2 3 years ago
Well, the lyrics are what they are, and they can't be changed. I've tried to translate them the best I can, but there's no doubt of that they may be a little funny at some parts.

BakaNekoChanSan 3 years ago 8
Suomen kieliset äänet on tosi hyvät, Kiaran ääni varsinkin <3<3
