  • I'm from Sweden.

And I want to learn Finnish, but why do Finnish people learn Swedish? but we can't learn Finnish? for example in school?

    I think it's unfair.

  • rakastan leijonakuningas elokuvia<33 Ja etenkin tätä biisiä?? Ketä on simban äänenä? Vetää kyl niin tunteella tän biisin.

  • Is there really "K" in every finnish word? :D Beautiful version :)

  • he will climb up someday; but he doesn´t see It yet, because of his point of wiew; as a child

  • saa aina mut miettimään tulevaisuutta

  • Finnish is weird, but here it was beautiful :) But I didn't like kiaras voice xD I like the Norwegian kiara c:

  • Nii kaunis!! ^^

  • Simballa on NII pistävä ääni, sydäntäsärkevän ihana <3

Taisi sanoa juuri ennen tämän laulun alkua. :P enpä ole ennen itse miettinyt tuota

  • @Hyyra Oikeest, kiva feil siinä! O.O

  • the Norwegian version is so much better :)

  • why do you learn swedish in finland? :)

  • @melmel9815 Because Finland is bilingual (I don't not is it right word..) country, some people here speak only swedish :o

  • @melmel9815 Because some of us have for example an swedish speakink mother and a finnish speaking father, so we speak both languages, but thera are some who only have finnish or swedish speaking parents : )

  • @melmel9815 I don't really think that Finns actually speaks Swedish and Finnish. Most of us actually don't and most of us speaks just Finnish. Here are still many people who speaks Swedish. But it isn't just about that. It's in Finlands history. I don't remember centories but there was a time when Finland was part of Sweden and even after that Swedish was our official language even that most of Finns spoke Finnish. Later Finnish came official language but Swedish stayd official too. :)

  • Simban ääni on niin ihana <3 = Simba's voice is so wonderful

  • Comment removed

  • Simba is singing about "she". Actually he means Mufasa, it is "he" btw

  • It is better in Norwegian :) I love Kiara's voice (norwegian) :D But it is beautiful in Finnish too ;) :D

  • one of hardest languages to learn... definitely !!!

  • i loooove this so much <3 :)

  • @Girlfromfinland92 Ah right. I was just trying to pick up some finnish cause I think it sounds so cool! Just looked it up on wikipedia :)

  • @Gyroglle and actually neither "kanssa mun" nor "kanssa minun" is right either... Or it's right, but no one says like that, since it's more like the poetric way to say it. The correct version would be "minun kanssani" (or "mun kanssa" when spoken). :D

  • Wait.. they say 'Kanssa mun', but isn't it supposed to be 'Kanssa Minun' if it means 'with me'? I'm confused.

  • Fancey Finnish with it's fancey infinite vocabulary

  • i don't really like simbas voice in this version , but the lyrics is beautiful !

  • Why do finnish people have to learn swedish, when they have such a beautiful language themselves?

Ive always thought finnish is weird, but I love this song!!! ^^

  • 1:22 lyrics say "saanko" but it sounds more like saan :| i have been wondering that myself it doesn't make sense if you take that "ko" outta there... now i'm confused :D

  • @jainabug yea there is mistake in the text :) it is "saan" :)

  • aw, ihana mut tulee kaameen paha mieli ku toi isä kuolee sit :((

  • @Uusil Eihän Simba ainakaan ilmestyneissä leffoissa kuole

  • aww kiara's voice in this is soooo cute <3

  • varmaa 10000. ihminen joka tästä sanoo mut ihan varmana pitäs olla him ja he :D

  • i love this song <3

  • I've never liked finnish so much, but I have to admit that this song is really good! =D

  • ^jep enkun kielisessä versiossa simba viittii mufasaan mutta suomen kielisessä laulaa kiarasta kokoajan

  • Kiaralla on tosi söpö ääni pentuna :3 Ja tää video on ihana ♥♥

  • Vaikka en häntä nää, sydäntäin hän lämmittää -kohdassa englanninkielisessä käännöksessä on 'her' ja 'she'. Eikö Simba muistelekaan isäänsä tässä kohdassa? : o

  • ei^^

Simba laulaa Kiarasta koko kappaleen ajan:)

  • @catzu

jospa hän muistelee siinä enkun versiossa äitiään? :)

  • I think "sä oot ain" would be in English "you'll always be" rather than "you're always"

  • tää on nii ihana

  • This is my very favorite version, with Italian as a close second! Makes me want to learn this beautiful language. :D I love 00:40 to 00:45.

  • yep, there is a & ä and o & ö in finnish language! but i cannot explane how we pronounce them.. sorry :( but they sounds different

  • this version is my favourite...

    Finnish language really sounds cute..

...but I wonder what's the difference between sound of 'a' and 'ä' ? in Polish we have only 'a' which sounds like 'o' in 'among'

maybe that's not the subject of the movie but can anyone explain me the difference? I'd be really grateful

  • @paauliify

...'a' which sounds like 'o' in 'among'

It's pronounced the same in Finnish. A with dots is pronounced like 'a' in 'hat'.

  • And 'ö' is pronounced like 'u' in the word 'turn' and 'i' in the word 'first'.

  • Simballa on just hyvä ääni tässä, Kiarallakin on, ainaskin omasta mielestäni. :3

    Tosi kauniit nää sanat,

    oikein mukavaa kuunnella.

  • i don't think that the voice fits in really, but i love the lyrics.

    finnish is a fantastic language!

  • @Jonibassenxp INDEED! :D

  • musta on tosi hyvä versio.

  • great version... Greetings from Norway

  • simban ääni<3

    simbas voice is gorgeus.

  • omg i love the finish version now !!!

first i thought japanese is the best but finish is very good ... i hope someday ican sing it xD

  • Niin ihana laulu! <3

    rakastan Kiaran ääntä. :)

  • Kuulostaa ihanalta!!!

  • Minusta Kiaran ääni sopii tähän lauluun ihanasti. ♥♥♥

  • 0.39 - Kiara looks as confused as I feel:D

That said, I like the sentiment of this song MUCH better than the english one. Particularly at 2:49, where Simba reassures her that she will always be herself no matter what part she plays in the pride. That's so different from the english version, where he says, "As long as you live here, it's who you are." Not very reassuring words for a daughter who's worried she can't be herself! This version is a loving, reassuring song from father to daughter.

  • well... dont kill me now, but i think this verson was a bit.... off... the original version. "Connected with me you are always" or as the original " We are more than you see. We are one"?

The original talks on a wider scale than the finnish. Like ALL the animals are one instead of just Simba and Kaira.

Although your languish are beutifull your versoin could be better. Peace out from the nation with the best simba (and worst young Kaira) ever!

  • and that nation would be sweden, ofcourse! XD

  • I think that it's quite hard to get the same meaning in the Finnish version as in the original. You should realize that the languages are very different, and Finnish words are often too long to fit in the mouths of the characters. I think they've done a good job with the Finnish version of the Lion King.

  • Hmmm... i didnt consider that. With that in mind, this is an epic translation.

But it will never beat the orginal... or the swedish one... xD

  • Simballa on ihana ääni<3

  • I want to learn this language so baaaad! .o It's awesome, and I love the voice for Simba in finnish <3

  • Kiaran ääni on ihana!

  • Kiva laulu :) Totta, Kiaran ääni on kamala mun mielestä kans : l

  • kiara voice..horrible/kamala

  • yeah =D this is SOOO BEAUTIFUL SONG<3333 and finnish is kinda hard to learn =) ( I'm finnish though.. ='D) ihanat sanat =3

  • Singing Finnish is rely fun!

We have done English, Icelandic, Japanese and started with French on 4 songs, but we also did Finnish on one of them and will do all four in Finnish along with Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. We thought it was a lovely language! We like the sound of it =)

Of all those languages Finnish is the only one we don't understand though, lol!

I think that is why we like it. It sounds nice, is easy to repeat, and even though we are able to sing it we don't understand a word =P

  • Wat Is The Female Lion Called ??

  • kiara

    :3

  • Es Españon decia: Somos clan. Creo xD

  • XD i surprise always, because a few finnish words in italian are BAD WORD ; D

    KATSOT XD

MINKA ahahaha it is sicilian : D

  • Tätä on kivaa kuunnella nyt kun sataa. Tulee sisäinen auringonpaiste. Kaunista.

  • Finnish is the wierdest language I've ever heard/seen. Though it's beautiful. Wish I could speak it.<3

  • many have said that it is reaally hard to learn, but if you are finnish (like me) it seems like anyone could learn it! xD

  • It's not that easy to learn as people think. The way words conjugate is the one that makes finnish heard to learn

  • Finnish is not even remotely related to the Romance and Germanic languages. Ignorant of you to think so.

  • You are wrong. It's one of the most difficult languages on the world. It's a very complicated language.

  • And it has nothing to do with German or Spanish because Finnish belongs to Finno-Ugric language family (with Hungarian and Estonian). German and Spanish belong to the Indo-European language family.

  • @Somethingify Hey Thanks :D

  • simban ääni on niin komee <3

  • Comment removed

  • oon niin ylpee et oon suomalainen ko suomi kuulostaa näin hyvältä! :D

  • Hei, tä sävel on soinu mun päässä viimeset viis vuotta ja oon jo luullu et oon keksiny tän sävelen ite ! :D Oon meinaan nähny tän videon KAUAN KAUAN sitten. ;) En muistanu et tä on tästä<3

  • oooh! I love finnish! My grand-parents are from Finland and I want to learn their language SO BAD!!

  • I wanna' learn Finnish too :D Im swedish but Finnish sounds soo cool :P

  • ihaniiiiiiiiiiiiiiin<3

  • rakastan 8)

  • Im swedish, so maybe i shoulnt say anything, thou i dont like Kiras(?) voice in this, i like the swedish one better, cus she sound much softer and more gentle in that one. But i dont know, maybe you just should learn to like her voice in finnish

  • I agree ^^

  • I don't get that line "even though I can't see her, she is warming up my heart". Huh? Is that a mistranslation? I'd appreciate it if a Finn reading this can explain, or re-translate that line for me.

  • i think the translation should be

"even though I can't see him, he is warming up my heart", so in that part simba is singing about his father, not his daughter..

in finnish we have only one word for she/he (=hän). it can be a bit confusing sometimes, and i think that the translation has just been written wrong..:)

sorry my english. i hope you understand what i'm trying to explain: D if someone wants to correct me, please do:>

  • Thank you! You explained it very well! Even so, it's kind of confusing because the word seems to be thrown in randomly, and the listener just has to assume that Simba's talking about his father. Since Finnish words are so long, I guess it's just hard to pack the same meaning into these songs.

  • ur welcome!hmm.. when using hän word the listener usually knows what is the meaning of it in the sentence,is it she or he.i'll give an example: D

    Tyttö juoksee

    The girl runs->

    Hän juoksee lujaa

    She's running fast

so..in hän sentence you already knew that we were talking about a girl.

also, you follow the situation where the word hän is being used->in the video you can see that simba is watching a star while singing the hän part.the star is his father:)

  • so that's why it should be translated to he instead of she.

okay, sorry again my english and everything:Dconfusing, indeed=)

again, someone please correct me if feeling so: DD

hope you undestood something about my explanation, hamsterama:))

  • well done on this video! thanks for the subtitles! =)

  • enkuks o parempi mut tääki o hyvä =)

  • must sit taas suomeks o parempi ;D mut kaikil omat miekut<3 (mielipiteet)

  • Finnish is beautiful :)

  • I like this tooo much<3 i almost cry every time when i see this:) tiers of happyness:)

  • I've been begging Rosetta Stone to make a Finnish package, so far unsuccessful. I'm moving to Finland in 5 years and learning Finnish would help a little.

  • En muista oonko jo kommentoinu tähän videoon mut sehän puhuu Mufasasta eikä Kiarasta tos "she" kohassa?!

  • Finnish is the best version of this song...actually, the finnish version of basically everything is the best.

  • Alle synger jo surt jo... :S

Btw, you should listen to the norwegian version;)

  • I recently listened to this song on some other languages but still I don't think that any of them could beat the finnish version. I just love i SO much!!

  • Gentleman jessus. It crossed the expectations. Really. Quite powerful!

Finnish is a really beautiful language. However, it is a horribly difficult language aswell.

  • Hah, would be nice to know what finnish sounds like for other people..:)

    Really complicated and strange, maybe.

  • ive been in findland, and the langage sounds like a bunch of blabber... my cuzins stepfather is finish allso.. :P everything sounds the same :P

  • Nice verision // :D

  • I like this song its very good on finnish!! :P I speak swedish but i can speak a little finnish too :D

  • Eihän se laula mufasasta vaa kiarasta? :'P

  • Hei sehän laulaa 1:40 Mufasasta nii miks se on käännetty her ja she?

  • Ja Kiaran ääni <3

  • vai että "<3"... :D mun mielest se on aika kaamee.. mut kaikilla mielipiteensä =)

  • Simban ilme iha paras tossa 0:09-0:12 = D

  • Hyvin tää on käännetty, shh :)

  • Käännös on joiltain kohdilta aika perseestä. Vaikka käännätkin suoraan suomennoksesta enkuks, lauseita ei silti käännetä SUORAAN. Esim. tuolla menee sanajärjestykset ihan päin sitä itseään joissain kohdissa. Suoraan ei voi kääntää, vaan pitää miettiä miten lause sanotaan oikeassa sanajärjestyksessä siinä kielessä mille lauseet halutaan kääntää. Tästähän on koulussakin jankutettu vaikka kuinka kauan! :O

  • Mutta kääntäjä ei ilmeisesti ole suomalainen ;)

  • 1:40 Simbahan laulaa Mufasasta, joten sen pitäisi olla His, ei her. Anteeksi ppilkunviilauksestani ;)

  • hehe i don't want to be mean but the english trenslation is not what they really say in english it's when kiara at the water she said "Can I still just be me the way I am" instead of "Will i every be able to be just me" well it is a great trenslation from finnish to enlgish but it isnt right whith the monky's it sayd"Family Family we are one" instead of "With me you're always" well i hope uhm that i didn't hurted you but i saw the trenslation and i didn;t undertand anything about it

  • You're right! But you see, the Finnish lyrics are indeed quite different from the English (original) ones, and thus the translation is different, too. So the English lyrics you see in this video are actually straight translations to the Finnish words so people could understand what they sing about. Not the real English lyrics. I hope I wasn't too unclear :)

  • oh yeah!!! now I understand thx :):)

  • :)))

  • The lyrics is never the same when it isn't the original English song :S That's why there is a translation..

  • yea

  • Finnish is beautiful language, but i've been told it's hellishly difficult to learn if you're not scandinavian... so i think i'll pass

I really wish i could go to Helsinki someday :)

  • Not even for scandinavian. Swedish, Danish... are germanic languages, but Finnish is Finno Ugrig. Like estonian and hungarian

  • Thank you ^^ Teachers at school teach us that others think Finnish sounds agressive and rough... They're wrong i guess.

  • Finnish is beautiful language, but i've told it's hellishly difficult to learn if you're not scandinavian... so, i think i'll pass

I wish i could go to Helsinki someday : )

  • It´s not hard to talk finnish. I´m from sweden and I like this version!

  • jammailin paljon tän seurana pienenä. :3 <3 ah. hieno edelleen, ehkä niist nostalgiasyist johtuen sit. :D seliseli jne. mut joo, <3<57<<78

  • Juu. Mufasaahan se tarkottaa,ku siel on se tähtiki! ^^ Mufasa on iha paras! Muuten hieno video! <3

  • Tää on nin kaunis leffa! Ootteko muute miettiny tän biisin sen aivan loppukohtauksen kautta mitä tää leijonakuningas 2 yrittää tavallaan opettaa? Tasa-arvoa! Kaikke me ollaan yhtä tasa-arvoisia oltiin minkälaisia tahansa.

  • Ihana :'') Mä itken aina näis ihanissa Disneyn klassikkoleffoissa. Mitkään pixarit ei vedä vertoja näille!

  • Thank you for friendly words, I hope all the swedes are not as childish as you are...I know you aren't,some of you are good fellows(: it's a shame that some of you just aren't old enough...

  • Finnish is such a beautiful language! how can you guys say such things?!

  • -.-

Just because you are from norway you don't have to tell us that you think this version is bad..

If you don't like it don't listen to it.

(I was going to curse alot in this comment but I realized I would only sink down to your level..)

  • I love it.

The finnish kiara is without doubt the best (cutest :3) one in my oppinion.

Once again zt3fan, Thank you very much for translating and uploading movies.

  • Ihana biisi, muistoja herättävä..♥

    Suomenkielihän on yksi vaikeimmista

Nehän on taivaantähen kissa eläimiä!

  • "Kissaeläimet jaetaan kahteen pääryhmään kurkunpäässä olevan, pienten hyoidiluiden muodostaman hyoidikaaren rakenteen perusteella.

    1. Lajit, joiden hyoidikaari on vain osaksi luutunut ja osaksi jänteinen; tällainen rakenne antaa kurkunpäälle runsaasti liikkumavaraa. Ryhmä muodostuu Pantherinae-alaheimosta, jonka edustajat (mm. tiikeri, leopardi eli pantteri, leijona ja jaguaari) karjuvat, mutta eivät kehrää.

  • Well, the lyrics are what they are, and they can't be changed. I've tried to translate them the best I can, but there's no doubt of that they may be a little funny at some parts.

Suomen kieliset äänet on tosi hyvät, Kiaran ääni varsinkin <3<3
