The reason Boonen was there was he DNF'd the tour and needed his legs back for Worlds. But it adds the the awsomeness of the Tour of Britain. I'm all for stage races everywhere.

He was even good enough to amuse the rest of the peloton when the lead car managed to get lost and they had to circle a roundabout for half an hour :)

Cared enough to win the final stage!
On this day he'd crashed in torrential rain, about 3 miles before he passed us.
