These people that you are referring to were all kids at the time of the killing. Jesse was only 19 yrs old and all his friends were the same age, they were playing the game of trying to be a big drug dealer. Hollywood was the most violent though, because he would go into fits of rage. He even got expelled from a school for attacking a teacher.
