getting the trophy is all about grinding, this is about skills/memorization.

@apocalipsix i agree its more memorization but not necessarily skill. In a speed run you basically avoid most enemies and defeat bosses easily by upgrading mostly magic. In a Platinum trophy quest you have to go through the toughest enemies in the game... that is, the Black Phantoms in each world. Black Phantom Selen Vinland for example will cast Anti Magic Field thus rendering the Homing Soul Arrow spell useless. She would then rush you and one shot you because you cant run or roll in the swamp

all i have to say is if speed runs didn't take skills then everybody would always have the greatest time that can possibly be achieved everytime.

@alfonsogemini speedrun = need perfect timing to dodge/sprint/etc, my skills are inferior to Thanatos but I still got platinum, platinum is not a big deal if you have patience...

@alfonsogemini Platinum trophy means shit... and unlike most people I got mines completely legit. Speed run skips a lot of shit but it takes serious skills to do it.

@usedpixel probably on your 1st try. lol. after you get used to it, (especially when you die and repeat the stage a lot) it will be a breeze.

your speedrun is very impressive! I saw the other run too (54:54). you both have very good skill obviousley but he's slightly better on how to manage stamina for long runs. then I guess it's worth to get the kris knife. you've max. more in magic and less int. (which I think is way better) and this will even pay more with kris knife. and in 1-1 it was really smart to die and do the short run to phalanx.

I know you can beat it. I guess 52 or even 51 should be possible. good luck!

im on new game plus, and i still get my ass kicked at the first archstone, i picked knight when i bought the game, and can never change it, my stamina is a little lower then yours, and thats when i leveled it up alot

Wow. This is intense. Makes me want to make another, solid magic build (Now that I know the game.) I kept thinking, "Dodge!!!! Oh thank goodness he didn't die there." And when you made it to the Adjudicator in such a short time... It's amazing stuff man. This is the reason why I love to watch vids of games I have, since I know how difficult it is.

You know, at first a speed run of this game seemed interesting, but the more I watched it, the more pissed off I became. I found myself wishing a demon would get a nice one-shot kill in there, just to interrupt the flow.

I'm not saying this is unimpressive. I just don't think a speed run really works for this game. It doesn't seem right to me.
