Give the poor girl a break, this is the hardest song in the entire show to sing and it's her first Tony performance and she's not exactly as seasoned as everyone else who performs at the Tony's plus, she's super young! She has every right to be nervous. No she's not as great as LBB, but every artist is different you can't compare artists, it's like comparing apples to oranges even with the same role! Maybe she rocks it in the full show!

I think Becky did a really good job here. Its hard to play any role in the theatre because you will ALWAYS get compared to the originals, because they created the charcter first on stage. Every Elle I have seen has brought something new to the character, which makes each of them different and memorable because of it.

This is Becky Gulsvig from the touring production. She was one of the Delta Nu girls in the original Broadway cast, and I believe was Elle's original understudy.

No, Idina was recovering from an asthma attack. But I know that the performances from the tony's that year were really hard, because they changed a lot of lyrics and things. And took out Kristin's main line in Defying Gravity (which pissed me off!) If you search "Kristin Chenoweth Wicked Cheno Note" you can see that she later messed up the lyrics because she confused them with her Tony ones.
