to zootsoot2006: an unconditioned person can live eternally without conflict and misery, whereas a conditioned person (however good the condition) will have times of frustration and anguish.
I wish all human kind changed into Krishnamurti for a day. Then were able to see through his eyes what could be a way of living without judgement or war. just a thought..
I for one remember trying to read some of his writings in my twenties and could not get very far because I thought they were very dry. Now 20 years later I can see the pervasiveness of natural unity. One in all, and all in One. And I wonder why nobody ever told me about it. I realize now that I was missing "The key understanding" to appreciate his intelligence. I think that now after seeing this documentary I'll be able to hear his books in his voice as I read them.
This Man spent His whole adult Life, deciphering /decoding the Human Mind /phsyche,AND has hit the nail directly On the Truth .. I ,wish the internet /youtube was only around in the 60s' and 70's- To have internalized this; we have Deepak Chopra now and others, but JIDDU was the Man in Front ..His work should be Honered and at least ,we have it Documented here...many Thanks...
@DYNODRUM To compare Krishnamurti to Chopra is comparing a realized being to a charlatan. Chopra is a fake parading in $2000 business suits, matching leather shoes and belts, charging enormous amount of money for his "spiritual" gigs. And as he softly "coos" to the audience while exploiting their human weaknesses he laughs all the way to the bank. Now even his kids, self-proclaimed gurus just like their father know where the money is. Open your eyes.
@9samten I,THINK YOU SHOULD REREAD THE COMMENT .I, AM WELL AWARE OF JIDDU and was basically saying He SAID it all before ,I,was not praising or endorsing Comparing anyone BUT STATING I,WOULD RATHER LISTEN TO AND FOLLOW KRISHNAMURTI'S VIEW . BACK OFF.
He ask why dont we change......one word comes to mind fear. Fear can be a powerful thing, it can be even scarier to want to leave it behind since you have become use to it.
i love krishnamurti and i know what he means in seeing the beauty of nature in oneself and with the sea and the breeze as one and truth but sometimes i think he misses the point of religions - they represent imagination and art fundamental to humans as well as communal gatherings in the survival of the species - i however agree that most people are sheep and don't see the facts!
I have recently discovered K. Thank you so much for uploading these. I am just so sorry I was not aware of him when he was alive. However, I perhaps would not have been ready then. So much the more.
a guide to self actualization. thank u for posting. the man will be missed, and his teachings will live forever for those who want to seek true liberation.
It is vital to learn how to question things deeply and to realize that we have the means to evolve as long as we bannish all sorts of fears we are so brainwired with. Its also important to think of krishnamurti as a reminder and a speaker. He reminds us that there is no path except for our own decision to become real human beings. Thanks for sharing this.
I wish I had the fortune to see this great man and hear him in perosn. Such an outstanding clarity of thoughts and lofty ideas to up lift the suffering human beings -only a really enlightened master-a Buddha can have. Thanks a lot for this video-enjoyed your collection-Dr Sharma
This koroua is anything but pessimistic. He is focussed on 'reality' as in nature which 'is what it is' whether we like or not. This is a key point of ego, it tends to go to what we like/are then willing to defend vs what we don't like/react against. This dualism is a basic problem of conditioning the world over. His view is like a nuclear bomb of truth in an imagined oasis of our ego denials and untruths about what it is we globally are living out. We are not FREE, nor is the Earth, Water etc
Like so many spiritual teachers K seems to me to be overly pessimistic about the quality of ordinary lives. When I walk down the street I don't see faces distraught with fear and loneliness but people simply enjoying their lives. It often seems to me that these guys create such problems in the minds of their listeners and then propose their message as the solution, or not even that in K's case.
K was not neccesarily being "pessimistic", but rather he was being factual. You may not "see faces distraught with fear and loneliness but people simply enjoying their lives", But - these people you see are living in a framework of their conditioning, that is the basis of conflict in peoples lives, that framework can collapse at anytime. There was an expression K used: negate that which is, to come to the positive. In other words - understand this mess and go beyond it, put the house in order.
I don't see how that framework can collapse at anytime. It also depends on what kind of conditioning you're talking about: you can have positive (prolife) or negative (antilife). Sure, the person whose conditioning is largely negative certainly is in danger of the framework collapsing under stressful conditions. But ordinary people have a workable balance between the two, which keeps them grounded and on course in their lives.
Can I give an example? A conditioned Religious/Political/Ideological person gets a sense of comfort in that ism, so there is dependence. From that they will react/defend any challenge to that framework. To me any form of so called normality in this society is still illusory because the thought process (egoism - which is a fact in our lives) is based on duality creating a sense of division between people, therefore comparison and conflict. One has to really understand this deeply first.
He is being neither pessimistic nor optimistic nor neutral, he is talking about the actuality. He pointed all the time, that the change (solution) has to happen from/by the indvidual through psychological negation of the conditioning, but not by external theories/ideologies/agents(philosophers/saviours/therapists/religions) etc .. As long as there is division of Observer (psychological past) and observed there is going to be conflict as it distorts the facts.
"When I walk down the street I don't see faces distraught with fear and loneliness but people simply enjoying their lives".I can show you million streets for every one of the streets that you mention where the story is totally different.K's teachings are timeless and complete cannot be divided to the extent where it is applied to a mere one street.Life exists in entirety.Try going beyond each of these streets and at one fine moment you will see the absolutness of K's teaching.
Great. I never heard of JK until recently. After reading Eckhart Tolle's "book, "A New Earth" - studies in self-awareness oten brings me to JK. Thank you for these great glimpses into his life. I sat here and went through his life/teachings and was riveted by talks, - his passion and clarity. Again Thanks!
K really is a treasure but if we come to an understanding of what he has to say and in turn live it then we equally become treasures in exact measure.
He is a treasure indeed! However we must be careful and come to our own understanding, not striving to be what K was but striving to understand our conditioning. I believe we're saying the same thing but it is important to not make an ideal or 'path' out of K, his words, or his life but instead to question our 'selves' and see first hand what he was describing.
Beautiful. Jiddu Krishnamurti is a lost and undiscovered treasure. Everybody talks about Abraham Hicks, 'The Secret' and whatnot but never anything about this genius of a man.
Yes indeed he always talked about suffering of the human,
because it wasn't entertainment he was trying to do (of course one could take it as entertainment, but in that case it would have very little meaning at all), to give us pleasure through talking about the beauty of life, which we all could see if we would only open our eyes. He was trying to set man free, and freedom can not come to existence when there is the present of suffering.
love watching these videos, Krishnamurti always from my view was critical on what felt like how others lived their lives and I wonder was he ever happy? He always talked about others suffering but I don't tend to see that all the time, its a mix of suffering with happiness of so much emotions...I think the message i get from him is think for youself and question everything don't be so gullible to just accept
thanks for the uploads
