You have to admire the Americans for how they treasure their 200 or so years of history. Each bit of Civil War fighting and regimental movement is explained and engraved in bronze, with countless stories and eye-witness accounts about Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3, etc.
Europeans, with their 2000 years of almost forgotten history, should learn from that too !!!
Indeed, we have potential for lifetime of learing and showing to the world who are were, unfortunately most of countries aren't doing anything about that :/
that unit at 2:16 is that 1st NY light artillery Reynolds Battery? Because i do believe that's the monument. Me and my dad do civil war re-enacting and we do the 1st NY light artillery reynolds Battery L
I heard this versioin while on my first tour in Iraq. And I think that this song is very appropiate for all soldiers of all wars. Dolly did a fantastic job with this song.
Careful we are now Terrorist for singing songs like this according to the DHS document u/fouo .Along with vets, gun rights, quoting the constitution ect.Never forget why this country was founded and what our fore fathers fought and died for.Solders,Veterans and Peace Officers Remember your oath to our Constitution.End the Federal Reserve and this Tryanical government..God Bless This Great Country of ours.
Yeah but I'm not American, I'm Canadian and proud of this. But many times we forget what the Canadian have done in Afghanistan, WWI, WWII, Korea War, etc. We have a small army, but we still there...
@touffeman027 I don't forget what Canadians have done in so many conflicts..that includes the American Civil War. This American respects the Canadian contribution greatly.
The Commander of Slime needs to put his own name on DHS list. He fears American patriots and hangs out with William Ayers of the Weather Underground. Thanks vets for your service and sacrifices. I sat at my father's knee as he told about building caskets in North Africa during WWII.
American Revolution II is under way. It is non-political, all Constitutional. All of us Americans owe our alegence to The Constitution. The power elites have been slowly trampling it into the mud since 1913, and that accelerated after "9-11" and is now going wild. The Yamamoto button is stil there and the elites are not far from pushing it. When they do, as did Japan in WW II, THEY will have hell to pay!!!

What I would most desire would be the separation of the white and black races. --- 7-17-1858, fr. a speech delivered in Springfield, Ill.

Hi all, a disheartening thing back then,we had to kill each other (AMERICANS). Like there is not enough strife. God bless both sides, they were all AMERICANS......
I was there last fall. One fellow said to me it was like being in an open air church it felt so reverent.
To walk the battlefield in complete safety where in battle one's life could be measured in moments is an awesome feeling. To stand exactly where history was made was almost beyond comprehension. The soldier's spirits of yesterday still surround the visitor of today.
Indeed! HURRAH! You know, I hae about 11 ancestors who fought for the Union at Gettysburg. One of them was the leader of the 151st PA Infantry. It was his regiment, and his regiment only, that held back the Confederate advance at the end of the first day as the rest of the Union Army retreated back to Cemetery Ridge. Due to him and his regiment, the entire Union Army was saved from certain destruction.
I love this . What a awesomeway to remember our past

My dad had high praises for Canadian troops in WWII, he met them in Europe and North Africa.
I've been once to CA, Enterprise, ON and Kingston, Amherst Island, back in 70's.

And within a few years, you'll all have to fight the brotherhood of muslims. Many of them will be AMERICANS..... as you so lightly put it. :(
It makes me so sad to think of.
