I play the PS2 version, and, it's probably because I'm very easy to scare, but the disembodied head girl scares the hell out of me, actually, overall the ghosts in the PS2 version look scarier, either that or YT kills ghosts. Also, I'm not the only one who gets really sad when he hears the music in rooms the disembodied head girl is in, right? It really bothers me...

... The puzzle solving "melody" cracks me up for some reason...

I think she is dead, most of the characters you talk to are ghosts of people that got killed or you killed (like Travis).

And if I remember well, later on they show how she was killed.
