I swear, if I'd work in such a company I'd do it, but I don't think they pay a lot attention to that movie anymore when they don't even spread it on DVD in America. And I think they probably didn't get the profit for the movie they wanted to have.

Sure, some people here like you know that movie and wish for more but when I ask friends if they know it then hardly someone really does.

Besides, it is so hard for animated movies,that are not from Disney or which had someone in the animation team who worked for Disney earlier,to get attention.

Especially in this '90's-Revolution' it might have been very hard because people were like choked up with so many new animated movies.Unfortunelty,this really pretty movie here was drowning in the sea of motion pictures.And that's why no one really pays attention to it anymore and so there won't be a sequel

Already in the 'What can go wrong' scene they looked at each other like they had some feelings for each other and I think there were some more scenes. But you are actually right...you couldn't expect this relationship^^

Tut mir leid, wenn ich euch das sagen muss, aber der Film erschien zuerst auf Deutsch. Er wurde in München produziert. Wenn ihr bedenkt, dass die englische Fassung geschnitten ist und wir in Deutschland Szenen haben, die es sonst in keinem Land gibt, macht da sogar Sinn.

Sorry, the Fearless Four was produced in English, not in German, so this is the original version, as sung by James Ingram and Oleta Adams. The original English songs were never released , apart from a very limited edition cassette tape that the animation crew received as a Christmas present from the studio

I started to work at Munich Animation mid october 1996. The songs were just recorded at that time, and I was present when they were animated. (I animated on another sequence, with an English voice track). I have seen photographs of Oleta Adams visiting the studio, but that was before I started there.

Part 2: Every friday, there was a video tape with the weeklies, showing the complete film, partly in storyboard, partly rough animation, partly colored scenes, showing us the current state of the movie. The entire production long, everything was in English. All animation was finished before the movie was dubbed in German, outside of the studio. The first time I saw a complete German version was at the movie premiere in september 1997.

I'm Dutch, and writing English is easier for me. (Reading German is no problem). The original treatment was in German, but it was reworked into an English script before the production began. The production was very international, with about half of the animation crew from foreign countries; we had even production meetings in English.

I arrived at Munich Animation during the final deadline, so I was not there when the script was written. For a later Munich Animation production, Jester Till / Till Eulenspiegel, all dialogue was written in English first, not translated from German.

Both Cartoon Film prodoctions I worked at; Tobias Totz, and Der Kleine Eisbaer, were produced in German, as were films like Peterchen's Mondfahrt, Werner Beinnhardt, Kleines Arschloch, etc. I think it is rather unusual for a German animation film to be produced in English

Actually, now that I think of it, the songs were written especially with the original English voices in mind. The movie was produced in English, and it was hoped that, by picking famous American singers for the voices, the movie would have a big American release. (Which did not happen.) Contracting the singers took its time, so that the voice recordings weren't there before mid production, before which the animators could only do scenes with secondary characters and non-lipsync scenes.
