McCain has a politician's attitude to the war. It doesn't matter how many Iraqis die. the president only be in serious trouble if large numbers of US troops die. Besides that, he can just lie about the situation in Iraq and the media won't challenge him.

He was a critic during the bigging of the war...it wasnt run with much control. But recently he likes the way its run and McCain knows leaving now and leaving Iraq instable is the worst thing we can do....have al-queda run after us because the government in iraq at this time can not control certain issues. This is no way shows a "two faced" McCain.

In 6-7 yrs in iraq numbers in the thousands have died and we cant handle it...compare that to WW2 when MILLIONS died within just a few yr period.

Yeah, but that was a "world war." Iraq is one country & most of it's a desert! Not counting the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead is like they are nothing to you. Some liberators we are. McCain's only a partial critic of the HANDLING of the war, but not the war itself & not the surge. He still thinks we never should have left Vietnam (after 50K US casualties and numerous violations of international law). Know any boys coming to draft age in the next few years?
