we just celebrated our 50th year family reunion....wow we play this song all day sometimes....boy I miss those that have gone on when I hear this song. God made families so stick by your family no matter what...God makes no mistakes. For every child born there is a reason. If you turn your back on your family then you are turning your back on God our creator and His Son Christ Jesus.

But I love my family and Im gonna start preparing our family reunion for spr/sum 12' and start contactin my out of state family so we can get thang in motion. My nephew DJ'ed our Hollins Family Reunion last Saturday and played this classic song. Those old enough to remember this song couldn't hold bacl the tears. I don't think there was a dry eye among them. It had been years and years since we got together. We have a large family and the thing is this, we are all direct descendants of one couple. WOW!

Went to a concert in Memphis in 75 to see the Commodores and Lionel . The crowd was mainly black and I am white.Trouble was the Ojays was leadin band and they brought the house down. I didnt know about them . Family Reunion had the place rockin. They stole the Commodore's thunder that night. Never forget the Mighty Ojays.

Our family reunions are every 2 years on my father's side. I always enjoy seeing, meeting, and greeting family member I have never met, heard of, or just saw in pictures. But the best part of my reunions is seeing my dad. July 2011 will be the 1st reunion without him.....He died Sept. 10, 2010 @ 63 yrs of age... I don't know what I'm gonna do without him there.... Dad, you are missed so much... I will always love you. It's just not the same without him...... I love you Tommy Lee Smith Sr.

Lovely song, and I am so happy to have come from the generations that enjoyed family reunions. That is why I have choose to put on an All Family Reunion August 19, 2012 -to August 25, 2012 I believe family is all we have and we have got to hold on who we are. Wow this is a classic man I must have been ten years old running around the projects of blvd homes with the smell of my moms fried chicken in the air and Mr Charles dancen and sippin Rest In Peace my 2nd father, my brothers and sisters showing love and given love. This is a classic and I thank you for posting it.

Family Reunion by the O jays!!! What more is there to say..... Family is essential for all of us its a since of beloning and bond of unconditional LOVE and to be reunited with familar members as well as new members is a blessing in itself...

all can say is thank you for the tears and laughter even though we dont get together like we use to and it seem like grandma was the glue that held this family together I LOVE YOU FAMILY!! and thanks for everything!

This song is the theme song of our family reunions, after the completions of the 3 day reunion we always sang this song. We started singing it back in the 70’s in Inverness Mississippi and to this date as we meet in different locations all over the country we still sing this song. Very powerful words that hold true to family. Keep your family strong.

Our family reunions are every 2 years on my father's side. I always enjoy seeing, meeting, and greeting family member I have never met, heard of, or just saw in pictures. But the best part of my reunions is seeing my dad. July 2011 will be the 1st reunion without him.....He died Sept. 10, 2010 @ 63 yrs of age... I don't know what I'm gonna do without him there.... Dad, you are missed so much... I will always love you. It's just not the same without him...... I love you Tommy Lee Smith Sr.

1998.......clark,halliburton,jones,hayes,claybrooks,glynn......and of course the fergusons.......the ferguson was the root..and still is the root........my great grand-mother....that was one of my most memorable years......we were together for fun and not a funeral...makes me cry

This song reminds me of back in the 80s when my mom and dad was still together and we had family over kids were dancing while the older folks watched us dance to all the old school music.Those were the good ole days.When family really stuck together.Now days you got family going against family.Lets get it together.
