I'm only watching out of morbid curiosity. I'm also imagining you saying over and over "this is not how dreads are made, please don't take any advice from this video"
my tip for doing dreads back comb in sections through some elastics on them and leave em for 3 to 4 weaks so they can do there stuff and from there remove elastics little by little and they will be locks (this method helps catch all the head that is shed per day its about 100 to 200 a day!)
i mean it wont melt it off but it makes it so u can wipe it off with a towel.
use a towel that wont leave any lint or w/e
or/and you can try using hot water to rinse it all out with your fingers, just be patient and when ur done make sure to dry ur hair cuz u dont want mold to grow, thats if your locks are big
WAX IS FOCKING GROSS WOMAN. your dreads will have mold growing from the inside out.
SICK, and i dont mean that in a positive way.
SICK, as in fucking sick shit gross.
but they do look ok, just superficial b/c of the wax.
and for tips to anyone growing dreads, if you start you hair about 3-5 inches and let them grow long, they will become stronger and tigher, than starting off with long hair.
and yeah, ive been doing the neglect method for about 4 months now and there beginning to be noticeably dreaded. there getting fatter by the day boy howdy. Im not going to take the whole 'corporate scam' outlook to wax, i just generally prefer the looks of natural dreads on white people. waxed dreads look to neat and synthetically produced.
Yes, my sister is very pretty haha. I've stopped using wax on my hair. They look a lot better now. A bit fuzzy for my liking but they look alright. Good luck on your dreads! :)
I've ALWAYS like the look of them plus I've always liked my hair a bit different. All through high school I would dye and cut and dye and cut my hair. :)
It does not help your dreads at all, in fact it just glues your hair together, it does NOT help your hair dread! And it absorbs moisture too, so your dreads WILL mildew eventually! YUCK!
exactamundo :) but how else do white people get dreds :/ If u have african hair liek mine, then it locks in really fast and easy. :) without product too :D
I liked the wax but ONLY during the first month. I stopped using it after that because there was no purpose. I used the wax only for the first month because it help keep the young dreads together but everyone will give you a different story on wax so I think you just have to try it yourself.
PLEASE dont tell people to use wax... its not useful. Its jst a fancy way to say glue. and it locks in moisture in the dread which then smells somethign chronic.
Hey u should look into knattyboy products they love to rip people off you should type the horrors of dredlock wax it basically tells u that there wax is bad.
Yeah, the girl who did my dreads said that that was the natural way my hair was going to dread like the natural sections. I would have liked them a bit thicker but too late now - hahaha.
Well you have many different methods to make dreads, not combing them for a while MIGHT work but that takes years.
I got them professionally done with the crochet hook method. You back comb the hair and use a small crochet hook to pull little bits of twisted hair out and then wrap it back around.
I would suggest you do a little bit more research on your own! :)
Hey mate. I'm soon 15, had my dreads a half year for now, had them done crochet hook method. Just use alot of time researching. That really helps! And it makes you much less comfortable . :P
You can't just "brush them out". You would have to cut them off. I know that you can keep up to 2-3 inches but any longer than that you'd need a bucket of conditioner and litterally days to try and comb everything out.
Ya definitely DO NOT use wax. It may be useful for the first week or 2 but use it sparingly. All wax is good for is to keep the stray hairs close to the dread. When using wax, in the long run, your dreads will take longer to lock up and will always feel waxy, eww... Basically it clogs up the dread. Also, I don't know if you're concerned about mold or not, but waxy dreads tend to lock in moisture which will allow mold to grow.
I *NOW* know that because I contacted someone and he said to NOT do it everyday and wash out all the excess wax I have in there now with warm water & paper towels. Thanks anyways! :)
I LIE CHEESE CUZ ITS FUCKING YELLOW OK!!?!!! I SAID OK??!"! ANYBODY WHO DISSAGREE CAN FUCK OFF!!!!

Ends DO dread. You just have to know how.
ANd you can wash your hair as soon as you get dreads as long as you have the shampoo that is necessary.
Check out the KnottyJonnyClean channel.
