@mrsthursday I am using thread which is really small, so the steel hook fits the thread. I have tried to crochet thread with the larger crochet hooks. The results were pretty bad. It is finding a hook that fits the size of the product you are using.
This does not even remotely resemble a pansy as far as I can see, but it's a cute little flower nonetheless, and the instructions were easy to follow.
hi teresa, thanks for sharing your wonderful talent,I just want to ask if you have a video or design /flower or lace and how to attach it to cloth so that it form as hem..thanks
thanks you so much for these videos! i love givingout scarfs for christmas, their cheap and home made so everyone loves them! I just cant follow a pattern in a book, im more of a visual learner. so thank you thank you sooo muuuchhh!!!
I want to thank you so much for all your videos. I actually am on unemployment trying to find work but with the x-mas holiday I was depressed till I learned how to crochet and because of you I have GORGEOUS gifts I can give out. Thank you so much for saving christmas for me and keeping my spirits bright this holiday. I am giving you a huge hug in my mind right now. Thank you.
omg i am hoooooooked, im gonna have to get this small yarn also when i go today thes flowers are so freaken pretty :) can you show us how to do puppy sweaters ? or puppy socks?
ooh! those would looks so cute if it was like a ring, too bad i dont know how to like do that, cuz i havent been doing crochet that long... i wish i knew how =(
I love your video on making a pansy flower I love flowers and this would be perfect for other projects. I like that you slow down so you can see what you are doing. Thank you for sharing.
I can see it better when you makeyour tutorial with yarn. For some reason its easier for me to follow, I know its the same but There are parts that I just cant follow when you use thread. Can you do one using yarn? Pretty pleaaaaase?
Pansies are one of my favorite flowers! I can't wait to make some of thease, they are so pretty. I will be trying to crochet using thread, for the first time. I hope they come out good enough to share. Thanks again for another AWESOME VIDEO! Doglvngurl in NOLA
Theresa, these look fantastic!! I know the smaller thread/needle is probably more aesthetically pleasing .. but would this work pretty well with, say, medium weight worsted yarn and a J hook? That's what I've been primarily using .. would I change anything to the pattern?
Thank you. You can interchange the thread and yarn with the flower patterns. The only difference is that the flower will be larger with the yarn and aluminum hook.
I love this video but i myself shy away from this kind of thing for fear of crocheting to tight and not being able to see the stitches. Hopefully one day ill get over that fear. Great job!! Can u tell me what kind of yarn was used?
I used size 10 thread. I would suggest practicing with a simple circle and becoming familiar with the feel of thread. Thread is my favorite to work with.
Pansies were my great-grandmother's favorite flower! She embroidered and crocheted them all the time. I can't wait to make some :) By the way, could I use a magic circle for this or is it best to use the chains?
All your crochet works are pretty! And your explanation is beginner-friendly too! Thanks!
