Dont mean to offend, just noticing a interesting thing about transgender people:

From what I've seen, most transgender "look" like the sex they want to be. Men look a little more feminine, or sweet, and have a tiny frame and they wish to be a woman. Jay is a perfect example!!! She obviously "looks" male. Just something interesting I notice. Obviously, its not the same for everyone. I've seen a few cases where this isn't true. But again, just from my experience.

Gender is a cultural determination before a child is even born. Sex is totally different from gender. Sex refers to the physicality of the body as having either male reproductive organs or female reproductive organs. However, if someone knows they are having a boy, that child's life is pretty much already planned before coming into the world! you obviously have no idea about how many biological men in the world have XX chromosones instead of XY, the Y chromosone is only needed to produce sperm, and because they can't produce sperm does that make them not male?! The only difference between bio men and trans men is that trans men are unlucky enough to have a brith defect that messed with the hormones in the womb creating a female body, and that they have to fight to be seen as the males they are. At the end we're better males for it.

Within 30 years we should have the technology to grow reproductive organs (and any organ for that matter) specific to an individual based on their DNA.

So people like Jay here will be able to conceive without IVF (that is, a woman's sperm fusing with another woman's egg, or a man's sperm fusing with another man's egg). What I'm saying is, transgender medicine will be complete.

Sex is just as vague a concept as gender is - just ask an intersexed person. Nature isn't as simplistic as human labels.

British law does not share your opinion. A transsexual person is legally their new gender, and regardless of your opinions it is basic human decency to refer to someone in the way they request to be referred to. To call this person "she" is to be extremely rude and obnoxious, and you could be fired under discrimination laws for treating someone that way in a workplace, etc.

Transgender people are entitled to changing their gender under British law on their birth certificate when:

- MTF's undergo vaginoplasty.

- FTM's undergo Breast Removal.

They are also entitled to change their birth name at this point.

I'm not sure about the changing of gender law but you can legally change your name at any time, no matter whether you've had surgery or not. The only time it becomes illegal is if you're changing your name to commit fraud.

Yes you can legally change your gender. Once you have had hormones and any surgery and have lived as a man (and changed your name by deed-poll to show you are sincere) you apply to the gender recognition board for a new birth certificate with you new gender.

Erm no. Gender is a socially construed concept. Sex is based on genotype (and even then there can be ambiguity). There's a reason that its called gender reassignment and not sex reassignment. But thank you for playing.

In fact you appear to fall into the classic trap of associating sex and reproduction with gender. Men can be feminine, women can be masculine, women can have a male gender identity, men can have a female gender identity.

The problem is not with the titles 'Girl became Guy' or 'Guy became girl', but with your interpretation of what is a girl or a guy in my opinion...
