Hi thank you for your prompt comment, it's appreciated. My local bead store did not have the foggiest idea of what I was talking about when I asked for needles you had described. "regular' long-eyed needles (embroidery) couldn't get through my 4mm stone beads. But, at JoAnne Fabrics I found Darice brand flexible beading needles.. The eye literally collapses to the diameter of the elastic. I can get this needle with 0.50mm elastic through the holes of hematite beads, 3, 4 and 8mm . mjh
I'm on dialup but watched this entire video that left me with two questions:
1. what size elastic? 0.5 or 0.8 mm?
2. what size needle and where are they obtained? My regular needles for seed beads will not take the 0.5 mm thread and others with larger eyes will not go through the stones.
In this project I used 0.8mm elastic and 4mm glass beads (not seed beads). The 'big eye' needles are great as they can take virtually any size thread & you can get them from many online beadstores. Hope that helps.
Could u pls share a tutorial as to how to make the black rose?thanks..

If you dont have any bead shops nearby that do this sort of thing you could try an internet search for 'polymer clay roses'

Fab. It looks really good.
I guess you could do it on a bigger scale and make a bracelet in the same way too.
