i don't use primer so maybe that's the problem, but whenever i line anywhere outside my waterline (so like, upper and lower lash line) it always smudges onto my lower eye! i dont know how but it drives me insaneee and does it ever happen with you?

Even with primer, my eyeliner tends to smudge within a couple of hours. I use MAC gel eyeliner which seems great because I've had it on and went shower with it and it didn't smudge at all (I was just testing to see how waterproof it was before going out because EVERYTHING smudges on me). And then the next time I tried wearing it out, I realized I got all panda-eyed within several hours! :(

Because I'm a monolid, I'm supposed to put on a thicker layer of eyeliner, right? The thing is, it looks fine when I open my eyes but when I look down/close my eyes, you can see like the really THICK layer of eyeliner.....is it supposed to look like that? Lol. It's really really obvious....

@rachelyjs I actually am not at all a fan of the giant black eyeliner thing. It's a pet peeve of mine! I personally use a "gradient" technique where I blend the shadow color into the eyeliner so it doesn't look like a black hole. You can see what I mean in my "smokey eyes for monolids" tutorial. :)

@rachelyjs lol there's this girl at my school that actually does like a half circle of black on her lid, it's kind of funny. Like sure, it makes her eyes look bigger, but she doesn't even make an effort to blend it out. XD For me, I just use a darker eyeshadow and blend it out. It doesn't take that much longer than eyeliner. =)
