  • Can I use KINECT with the other USB port?

  • bluray is the future ;)

  • loss... on every playstation they make

  • my cousin has one and in his opion, quality wise its just as good as blueray yet faster loading up times and as you can see in this video very user friendly. the only reason blueray over took HD DVD is because they put a bluray player in the playstation kinda forcing people to by bluray over normaly dvd, if you have a bluray player its pointless buying standard dvd right. sony did this on purpose i think just to get more people buying blurays and the proof to that thoery is that sony make a loss

  • What is the name of your 360 theme?

  • @FutureKix i have the perfect dark (free) xbox 360 theme

  • I got one and i don't understand because mine doesn't work. My xbox detects it, and there is a tab for it, but i put a disc in, and close it, and it reads the disc, then it just says 'open drive', like there's nothing in there.

  • @gandalf0987 does it do this to every HD DVD or just one. its unusualy for it to happen to every disc but this somtimes occurs with some discs e.g at christmas i got the A team i watched it on my xbox that day and thats the only time i watched it but recently ive gone to watch it and it doesnt read the disc altho ive only watched it once so the disc being too scratched isnt likley.

  • @ttaMLowe I've actually got it working now, thanks for replying. I have to turn it on it's side, or it won't read the disc.

  • if i broke my dvd drive inside my xbox 360 can i buy this and play games?

  • @OHS30 no, also hd-dvd is no more. it lost to blu-ray a better choice for true hd

  • @YourLatinLover69 Basically it comes down to space on the disc.... I mean, I know there are other differences... but that's the only thing that major.

  • @thechaser1985 and that it is scratch resistance those are the 2 major differance;'s

  • u just made me want to buy it

  • Get this from Cex 4 £15

  • i just bought one drive to a friend of mine and found a site that has loads of movies on hd-dvd

  • does the hd dvd play games and can you take the drive apart and place into your 360

    are u using hdmi

  • sadly the drive doesnt allow you to play games :*(

and yes i use hdmi for both my ps3 and xbox 360.

    thanks

  • Nice theme! i can't wait for it to be released! Also, thanks for the review, i am definitely buying it right now!

  • how do u change the color of the bottom part? like go to 2:04

the base is black, but mine is regular color. And im seeing if how do u change the color.

    thanks

  • woop! i know right?

  • where do u buy hd movies?for cheap like u do?

  • hey, okay i use 2 sites mainly, but really, you just have to look and keep your eyes open. first is frys (dot) com. i love that site, however limited movies. but really the best place is inetvideo (dot) com. that web site is amazing! they have amazing prices! thats where you go to stock up ;) . anyways, dont forget ebay! good luck!!!!

  • thanks

  • does it play blue-ray dvd

    can you try it.

  • it doesnt work, sorry. how blu ray is encrypted is waaaaaaay different then HD-DVD or even DVD. Sorry

  • oh ok then i wish microsoft make a blu ray dvd player for xbox 360 that will be cool.

  • If i play a regular DVD in the HD DVD drive, will it upscale the picture?

  • yes, it upscales to 1080i/720i/720p but not 1080P

  • Got mine lastweek £15 bargain love it..

shaun of the dead never looked so good!

  • haha yeah its really good quality at a great price

  • so how is the video im getting one tomorrow and i want to know does it look as good as the blu ray cause i have that but i want the hd dvd drive cause the movies are super cheap

  • i pick me one up ur rite its worth it got it on ebay for $31.00 bucks and like the quality

  • shit , i should go pick one of these up. If it upconverts things . thats wat i want , and it looks sick too lol

  • can this play xbox 360 games, because my disc drive isnt working and it keeps saying open tray, even though i put in clean discs, and already sent it to microsoft last year

  • I feal you man, mine broke 7 times! But to answer your question, sadly it doesnt play xbox 360 disks. I think if microsoft did that it would have been a really good marketing tool for that very reason.

  • would microsoft fix it for free? btw thanks for answering my question

  • it depends on a few things. If you bought the warranty through microsoft then if its under 2 years of age from the date of purchase then yes, you are fine. If you did not buy the warranty and its past 1 year, then no you can not. If it is like that, what i would do is because microsoft is fixing any console that has the RROD for 3 years for free. I would call and say hey i OCCASIONALLY get the rrod, and my dvd drive is broken. Then they should fix it (i used this 4 times). Just be nice tothem

  • Good drive just bought mine off craigslist for 35$ used with five movies including planet earth!

  • ya its really worth it. i love mine

  • I bought one a while ago. I think it was a fantastic buy. You'll be able to pic up HD movies for just a couple of dollars. Where BluRay movies are extortionately over priced. The HD-DVD drive can also be connected to a PC which is handy if you have a netbook because they don't have a DVD rom drive.

  • exactly, a few dollars as opposed to 35$ for a blu ray disk

  • bring HD-DVD back to life!!!

  • hahah i wish

  • which one would you like to pick a 5ogb disc or a 30gb disc............that's why blueray won over hd-dvd

  • hd dvd has about 30 gb, blu ray has 50gb. but a hd movie only takes like 20 gb so its pointless to have a larger capacity

  • nice ty
